Cesar Gastelum had been popular for his comedy skits and lifestyle content. His tragic passing in his 20s has left his followers in grief and shock.
Amid this, some of his final posts have been resurfacing on social media, featuring another social media star, who is now being alleged as his girlfriend. To mention, Cesar never confirmed being in any romantic relationship with the said influencer, and she also never commented on the buzz. However, her reaction to Caesar's tragic demise also grabbed attention recently.
The influencer, who had been linked to Cesar Gastelum, is Le Beba. The duo, while they collaborated on several pieces of content on social media, never confirmed that they were dating or so. However, the rumours about them were rife.
In fact, only 3 days ago, Cesar dropped a video on his Instagram that featured him with Le Beba, as they were seen all dressed up, as they went for 'the real strawberry date'. According to a recent report, Le Beba recently reacted to the sudden passing of Cesar.
According to a Blog post on Miamihub Shop, Le Beba was also livestreaming when her inbox was being bombarded with the news about the shooting that took place. Beba also reportedly got a call from her mother, who was panicked, thinking her daughter was in the same car with Cesar when the shooting took place.
The same post revealed that Le Beba became emotional as she revealed to viewers that she and Cesar had planned a date for the next day, August 5, 2026. For the unversed, the shooting incident took place on August 4, 2026, outside a KFC outlet.
The news about Cesar Gastelum's passing surfaced on August 4, 2026, when he was busy with his livestream outside a fast-food restaurant in the northwestern Mexican city of Culiacán. Cesar, who had nearly 600,000 followers on his TikTok, was approached by two unidentified motorcyclists, who opened fire. Cesar's sudden passing during the livestream is certainly a shocking incident, and according to reports, an investigation is currently underway.
As per information on WMUR, Mexico’s Federal Security Cabinet revealed on August 5, 2026, that the motive behind the tragic shooting is being investigated. According to the Cabinet, the reason could be some of Cesar's social media posts, where he made reference to a 'faction of a criminal group'.
For now, nothing has been officially confirmed, and no one has reportedly been arrested; the investigation is also underway to identify those responsible. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, during a press conference, recently said:
"The actual perpetrators and, if applicable, the mastermind must be arrested, and the reason behind this tragic homicide must be uncovered."
