Aaron Rodgers' relationship with his wife, Brittani has always been a subject of intense scrutiny as he keeps her hidden from the world. It even prompted theories from his family and fans that Brittani might not even be a real person. Aaron hit back at the chatter during the September 10, 2026 episode of Cam Heyward's Not Just Football podcast. He said, "I don't f***ing care about any of that." He further proved her existence by sharing their relationship timeline.
Aaron revealed that he met Brittani before dating his exes, Danica Patrick and Shailene Woodley. He recalled meeting his wife for the first time in 2017 shortly before she left the United States for Europe. He shared that at that time, he didn't realize how much she meant to him, and it hit him only after distance separated them. Aaron said he was never the same after she left and couldn't find that kind of connection with any of his girlfriends.
According to Aaron, he was an "emotionally unavailable" partner for seven to eight years while he was away from Brittani. As the popular saying goes, distance makes the heart grow fonder; the same happened with the Steelers star. His "biggest regret" was not putting a ring on Brittani and asking her to stay in the US. Sharing that she changed his life for the better, Aaron stated:
"My biggest regret is not begging her to stay or just, like, proposing right there. Because that sent me into a tailspin of...what can I be accused of as a partner in a relationship? Like, I was emotionally unavailable, I think, for those seven or eight years because I'd met the person that changed my life. And after that, I just poured everything I had into football."
After Brittani departed for Europe, Aaron Rodgers had high-profile relationships with Danica Patrick and Shailene Woodley, even getting engaged to the latter in 2020. However, about two years later, they called off the engagement. Brittani, meanwhile, was also engaged to someone else, as per Aaron. The NFL quarterback, however, did not reveal who she was betrothed to. However, her engagement also didn't last, and she got back with Aaron later.
Aaron considered himself lucky to get another shot at a relationship with Brittani. This time he didn't lose the opportunity and quickly defined their relationship by putting a ring on her finger. Describing their engagement, he said he had set up a sweet surprise proposal for her. However, he didn't get into the details and kept it private. In his words:
"Luckily for me, we came back together...I had a little something set up when I was over there. A surprise for her. That's about all I'm going to say about that."
Aaron and Brittani then eloped in early 2025 and got married away from the public eye. Their exact wedding date is not known; however, they were man and wife by June 2025.
