Both individuals were adorned with wedding garlands and tika. Upon seeing the resurfaced photo, many fans were convinced that it was a pic from Gullu and his wife's secret wedding ceremony. The image generated a lot of buzz, and many tried to identify the mystery woman but failed.
Some online users claimed that, since Gullu is a Gujjar, he was married off in his early 20s as per their customs. Others alleged that the 27-year-old divorced within a few years of marriage and then participated in shows like Roadies, Splitsvilla and Bigg Boss. Amid speculation about Gullu's marriage, he clarified the issue. In a chat with The Times of India, he explicitly stated that he is not married and that the rumours circulating on social media are absolutely baseless.
Gullu clarified that the picture which was being circulated as his 'wedding photo' was fake or fabricated. Referring to the source of the viral photo, he said he was baffled when he saw it. Gullu told TOI that he had no idea who was spreading rumours about his marriage, and what their intention was behind it. His exact words were:
"I don't know where the news of my marriage came up. The pictures on social media are completely fake. I'm not married, and I don't know where the pictures came from."
Gullu (real name Kushal Tanwar) is one of the most popular contestants of Bigg Boss 20. He was also a candidate for the first captaincy nomination.
