It becomes a sight of sheer delight when two actors of impeccable talents and owning a legacy sky-high get to meet each other after a long time. Well, we recently stumbled across one such moment when the great legendary actor, Rekha, met the most promising Gen Z actor, Alia Bhatt, at an award function recently.
While scrolling through our IG feed, we stumbled upon some priceless glimpses from the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards held in Mumbai on February 20, 2023. While the promising list of awardees was splendid, we also spotted the legendary veteran actor, Rekha, spending a heart-melting moment with Alia Bhatt. While Rekha looked evergreen in a golden-hued Kanjeevaram silk saree, Alia looked glamorous in a white-hued raw silk saree. The duo made it to the headlines immediately after the paparazzi snapping Rekha's affection for Alia.

While Alia seemed utterly star-struck on meeting with Rekha, the latter lightened the moment by giving her a sweet peck on her cheeks. She then hugged Alia tightly in an embrace, and the moment won our hearts. For the unversed, while Alia had received the Best Actress Award for her performance in the film, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Rekha, on the other hand, was bestowed with the award for Outstanding Contribution To The Film Industry. The duo also posed for the shutterbugs as they flaunted their trophies together.
Well, the happiness of winning doubled for the Kapoors as it was not just Alia who won an award, but her hubby, Ranbir Kapoor, too, won the Best Actor award for his film, Brahmastra: Part One. However, due to his busy schedule, Ranbir missed the event, leading to his wifey, Alia, receiving the award on his behalf. In one video shared by the fan pages of the actors, we can spot the pride on Alia’s face as her hubby’s name was announced.
