The appeal comes as reports suggest that at least 11 NEET aspirants across India have died by suicide in the 46 days between the exam's cancellation and the scheduled re-test on June 21, 2026. Amid that, Zeeshan Ayyub has also issued a statement for the aspirants after another 19-year-old student took her life hours before the retest.
Recently, Zeeshan Ayyub took to his social media platform and shared a video, speaking directly to students struggling with the uncertainty surrounding the NEET 2026 exam. For the unversed, competitive exams in India have become a topic of discussion among citizens, and the pressure to crack them has often led students to take drastic steps. For the unversed, recently, given the pressure surrounding the NEET examination, several students have died by suicide. Zeeshan addressed this pressure and uncertainty in his video, which was quoted as saying:
"NEET ke chakkar mein kai baccho ne suicide kiya, woh jyada disturbing cheez hai. Main students se bolna chahunga ki himmat mat haro. Nothing is the end of the world. Kuch khatam nahi ho jayega. Zindagi mein bohot kuch hain. Uske khilaaf bolna, uske liye bolna, apne rights ke liye khade hona… woh zyada zaruri hain."

Zeeshan Ayyub urged the students not to lose faith. He asserted that the examination is not the end and that there is more to life. He further asked the aspirants to speak up and demand their rights, which is more important. The actor also encouraged students to seek professional help if they find themselves struggling emotionally and stressed that asking for support should not be seen as a weakness. He shared that he can understand the situation and the pain, but doesn't want them to worry too much. He was quoted as saying:
"Main samajh bhi paa raha hoon iss takleef ko lekin phir bhi ek saathi hone ke naate main ye bolunga jyadda pareshaan na ho. Counselling se na darey, please logon se iske baare mein baat karein. Dosto khayal rakhieyen."

A 19-year-old NEET aspirant allegedly died by suicide in Hyderabad's Miyapur area on Saturday, June 20, 2026, merely hours before the scheduled NEET UG 2026 re-examination, according to reports. The student was identified as Sheikh Sana and was preparing for the NEET 2026 examination while staying with her two younger siblings in an apartment in Miyapur, while her parents worked in Kuwait. Sana was preparing for NEET for the past year and was an intelligent student, having scored 90 per cent in her 12th boards.

According to reports, the children's aunt, who lived nearby, looked after them. The Indian Express report revealed that the police recovered a note from the scene in which Sana had written, "No one is responsible for my death. I am taking my life." Authorities suspect academic pressure and anxiety related to the examination may have contributed to her distress. Reports allege that the incident took place on the morning of June 20, 2026, after Sana went to her room to study and locked the door. However, the family became concerned when her younger sisters called her for lunch, but she didn't respond.
