After months of speculations, reports about their brewing romance, and seeing them dancing together in videos, it was on November 5, 2020, when taking to their respective IG handles, Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar had announced their relationship. The madly-in-love couple had confirmed that the two are officially engaged and had shared a similar picture on their respective IG handles. In the picture, Gauahar and Zaid could be seen lost in each other's eyes and smiling while being surrounded by balloons. While Gauahar had opted for a floral suit set, Zaid had opted for a mustard shirt. Gauahar could be seen holding a 'she said yes' balloon. And in their captions, the two had used ring emoji tagging each other to confirm their relationship. After which, on December 25, 2020, Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar had become each other's forever in a traditional nikaah ceremony, followed by a lavish wedding reception which was attended by some of the biggest names of the industry.
On March 9, 2021, popular choreographer, Zaid Darbar took to his Instagram handle and shared an interesting video in which he can be seen talking about someone's entrance and a sweet surprise which he will share soon with his fans. In the video, his siblings, Awez Darbar and Anam Darbar can be seen jumping with excitement and looked super-happy. As a result, their fans couldn't keep calm. While some people speculated about Zaid's wife and actress, Gauahar Khan's pregnancy, some hinted that it could be a pet from Zaid's side for his baby sister, Anam Darbar. Gauahar's father was hospitalised for a few days before his demise, and the actress had informed her fans about the same and had asked them to pray for him. However, in the morning, the actress had confirmed the heartbreaking news of her father's death. She had taken to her IG handle and had penned a note, which could be read as "My Hero. On March 7, 2021, Gauahar's hubby, Zaid had also taken to his IG handle and had shared a goodbye post for his father-in-law along with a beautiful throwback picture that had also featured his wife, Gauahar. Alongside it, Zaid had written, "My father in law by relation, but I felt like his son from the heart. It was my honour to know you Pappa. And my blessing to have had the opportunity to serve you even a lil bit. I truly love you, and I know you loved me too. I know you will be smiling your innocent smile in JANNAH FOREVER. Ameen.
