Indian cricketer, Yuzvendra Chahal tied the knot with dentist-turned-choreographer, Dhanashree Verma on December 22, 2020. Their wedding pictures had left their millions of fans entirely in awe of their mushy romance. However, a while back, the couple was hitting the headlines with rumours about their unhappy married life. But, rubbishing all such speculations, the madly-in-love couple is enjoying their life to its fullest.
Unfortunately, Dhanshree Verma had suffered from a knee-ligament injury for which she also had to go through surgery. On September 2, 2022, Dhanshree had taken to her IG handle and shared a picture from the hospital's bed post her successful surgery. Undoubtedly, she was seen bearing all the pains as channels of fluids were attached to her veins. However, even after that, she was seen in a lifted mood and showed a thumbs-up while posing for the lens. As soon as she shared the picture, it was her darling husband, Yuzvendra Chahal who dropped a loving wish for his wife in the comment section, and it was simply unmissable. He had written:
"Get well soon wifey (bicep muscle showing arm flexing emoji)."

A few moments back, Yuzvendra took to his IG handle and shared a series of pictures with his wife, Dhanshree from their Karwa Chauth celebrations. In the first picture, the madly-in-love couple was seen happily posing for the lens donning traditional ensembles. In the following pictures, the doting wife was seen wearing a stunning red-coloured salwar suit, for the puja during the entire fasting day. However, it was her unique mehendi which caught our attention. Dhanashree's mehendi featured her husband's jersey along with his unique number and it was simply amazing. Along with it, they collaboratively wrote:
"Happy Karva Chauth wifey. Love you."
Coming to the rumours regarding Yuzvendra and Dhanshree's unhappy relationship, which have been trending in the media in the past few months, it all started when their fans had noticed that the star wife dropped 'Chahal' from her surname on Instagram. Currently, Dhanashree's Instagram bio has only 'Verma' written as her surname. Soon, netizens drew a link with Yuzvendra's cryptic IG story of August 17, 2022, wherein he had posted a picture that stated, 'New life loading' and started pointing towards their unhappy marriage. However, to address all such rumours, on August 18, 2022, Yuzvendra had taken to his Instagram stories and called out the separation news a rumour, in a picture message. Following this, on August 21, 2022, Dhanashree had taken to her IG feed and posted a few selfies along with a long note talking about the same. In her note, she mentioned her knee injury and how her family, including her hubby, Yuzvendra was highly supportive of her during these challenging times. An excerpt from her note can be read as:
"It’s a late morning coz’ I actually overslept; thanks to you guys. Needed all that sleep to recover. It’s funny though, I opened my eyes feeling so confident & strong today. Something I was seeking for the past 14 days. I had completely lost confidence due to my knee injury that happened while dancing (my last reel) & I landed up tearing my ACL ligament. I have been resting at home & the only movement I have had is from my bed to my couch (along with physiotherapy & rehab everyday). But what has also got me through this is the support of my near & dear ones including My husband, my family and my closest friends."
