Yuzvendra Chahal Replies With Defamation Case As Bold Web Series Actress Says He DMed 'Cute' To Her

Yuzvendra Chahal often makes it to the headlines with his personal life. The cricketer is currently playing for Punjab Kings in the IPL 2026 season. As he is grabbing the attention with his skills on the field, his personal life continues to raise eyebrows. It was only last year when Yuzi was in the headlines with his troubled marital life with Dhanashree Verma. 

Yuzvendra Dhanashree got married in 2020, and it was in 2025 that the couple got divorced. Following this, Yuzi's personal life was making headlines with the link-ups to RJ Mahvash and also to Shefali Bagga. Recently, Taniya Chatterjee, who is a bold web series actress, made some claims which led the cricketer to come back with a defamation case as a reply.

Taniya Chaterjee revealed that Yuzvendra Chahal DM-ed her by saying that she is 'cute'. Well, reportedly, the cricketer now came forward with a defamation case, and Taniya had something to say about the same. Speaking to the paps, Taniya said that she has gone viral, so much so that she didn't even think she would be. She further mentioned that people have been trolling her more than the cricketer, but he was the one to file defamation against her. She could be quoted as saying:

"Itna jyaada viral ho jaayega idea nahi tha. Aur mujhe hi jyaada troll kar rahe hai yaar. Main hi badnaam ho rahi hu. Unka toh theek hai, kuch ho hi nahi raha. Defamation ka case unhone mere upar bheja."

Taniya revealed that she was the one who got a text from Yuzi, where he praised her. Later, she mentioned that it's only normal for others to call her 'cute'. She also mentioned that she was asked by Yuzi's PR to delete the video of her where she mentioned that the cricketer praised her. While Yuzi is yet to react to this matter directly, it seems that the cricketer's way of replying was much stern, as shared by Taniya; it was a defamation case that he opted for.

Shefali Bagga denies dating Yuzvendra Chahal 

While Yuzi filed a defamation case against Taniya, there have also been some rumours about the cricketer dating Shefali Bagga. Shefali grabbed the attention with her stint in Bigg Boss 13, and she is also a popular sports anchor. Well, reports claimed that Yuzi and Shefali have been dating and that they were spotted having dinner. As per a recent report by Ratopati, Shefali recently broke her silence about the speculations around her and Yuzi.

When she was asked about the rumours, she reportedly straightaway denied the same and expressed her shock over people's mentality these days to link two people romantically even if they just go out to grab a bite. She was further asked if she would marry a cricketer in the future. To this, she said 'no' given the fact that she doesn't want to mix her personal life with her professional life. She also shared that her family members don't think about bothering these speculations as they know the truth already.
