No wonder with the advent of paparazzi and social media, wherein we get first-hand glimpse of our favourite celeb kids, these little munchkins are bigger stars than their parents. Wondering how? Well, in his latest Instagram story, Karan Johar has shared the swag pics of his two babies, Yash Johar and Roohi Johar, who are wearing their glasses as if they are no less than superstars. Guess what? They are a sensation, aren't they? Our day ends gay every time we stumble upon the pics of these cotton balls. Sharing the following pic, KJo wrote, “Getting ready for the paps”.
Clearly, Yash Johar and Roohi Johar are ready for paparazzi as papa Karan Johar cutely admits, right? We all know that Yash and Roohi were born through surrogacy on February 07, 2017. It had come as a sweet surprise to everyone when Karan had revealed the arrival of his baby twins.
Commenting on the blissful phase of fatherhood, Karan had then shared, “Fatherhood is proving to be a breathtaking roller coaster ride. When they were conceived, I was ecstatic, but I told myself I would be a responsible father and not a paranoid mother. Then came the complexities of premature birth. And the heartache of seeing them in the incubator. But I felt a strong sense of ownership. They were my lifelines. A lifelong dream come true. And I couldn’t wait to take them in my arms. When I did that for the first time, it was incredible”.
He had further added, “I knew this was the beginning of a different kind of love story. The start of the best phase of my life. Mothers go through these emotions. Fathers come in later. But I was there right from the start, with the other mothers in the ICU whose babies were also born weighing less than 1.5 kilos, their vital body parts, their tiny lungs and heart underdeveloped. And each time a baby crossed 2 kilos and the nurses put up a smiley sunshine face announcing this, I would celebrate with their mothers because I fully empathised with them”. Karan Johar regularly updates his fans with the cute pictures of Yash and Roohi. In 2017 when Karan was at the IFFA awards in New York he was missing his kids terribly and that’s when, for the first time, he had shared the first pics of his twins and had captioned it, “I miss my babies!!!! #roohiandyash”.
A few months ago, Karan had also shared the very first pic of his complete family- himself, Yash, Roohi and his mom, Hiroo Johar on her 75th birthday. Take a look:
Earlier, when he was asked why he opted for surrogacy, he had replied, “A single father is unusual in India. There are some famous single fathers in the world, celebs who were brave to have babies out of surrogacy, like Cristiano Ronaldo and Ricky Martin. But I wasn’t inspired by them. Or by anybody. I know Tusshar Kapoor took the step first. And what he did was amazing. But by the time his son Laksshya was born, my procedure had also started. I feel connected to Tusshar by our common decision. You can’t be inspired by anybody to have a baby out of surrogacy. You have to be emotionally ready. I was also prepared mentally, physically and logistically”.
