Will Compton Calls Out Pal, Travis Kelce Over Wedding Snub, Reveals Feeling 'Kinda Flabbergasted'

The buzz surrounding Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding has not died down one bit. The duo tied the knot in New York City’s Madison Square Garden on July 3, 2026. According to reports, they exchanged their vows in front of over a thousand guests, including their close friends, family, and industry pals. While many thought that the guest list was a bit too excessive, it seems that they still left out one of Travis’s friends, Will Compton, who is now calling out the former. 

Will Compton calls out Travis Kelce for not inviting him to his wedding to Taylor Swift 

Retired NFL player, Will Compton made an appearance on Wake Up Barstool’s latest episode via a call, released on Monday, July 6, 2026. Here, he discussed his “stunning” absence from Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s New York City nuptials. Will said that at first, he thought nothing of not getting an invitation to the wedding, even though he is a staple at Travis's Tight End University summit. 

However, Will admitted to feeling “kinda flabbergasted” when he began seeing “all these photos” from the various attendees. He soon realised that “everybody else” was present at the ceremony held in MSG. The former footballer even pointed out how sports analyst, Dean Blandino fit an invite. He was quoted as saying:

“I'm gonna be honest, I didn't think nothing of it at first…I saw Dean Blandino got an invite. Is that real?” 

Host, Dave Portnoy confirmed that the Fox Sports personality was indeed present at Travis and Taylor’s star-studded wedding, in addition to “everybody at Tight End U.” After the revelation, Will Compton shared that he planned to "talk to Travis."

When the clip of Will and Dave's interaction went viral on X (formerly Twitter), the former tweeted that it had been a “tough phone call.” He also revealed that during the call, his heart rate was at 142 for 44 minutes at that point. He further thanked T-Bob Hebert for giving context at the top and clarifying that he was actually in Italy when Travis and Taylor tied the knot. 

Well, fans had a lot to say about Will Compton getting “absolutely snubbed from the Swift-Kelce wedding.” A social media user wrote, “Even Claire Kittle's mother and George Kittle's parents got an invite! And a lot of other weird invites – Matthew Stafford and his wife – who famously told everybody Swift was outshining the NFL games and admitted jealousy issues. Travis owes Will an explanation.”

Another wrote, “Taylor and Travis seem perfectly capable of deciding who genuinely wants the best for them, and who doesn't. No one is entitled to an invitation to someone else's wedding.” A third user penned, “Aw. He wasn't genuinely disappointed until he saw the same thing everyone else saw.” A comment read, “Getting left off the wedding list is a medical event. Someone had to call.” 

All about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding 

Taylor and Travis kept most details about their wedding as hush-hush as possible despite having a huge number of guests. It was their venue, Madison Square Garden, that first confirmed the news after the couple tied the knot by flashing “JusT&T Married” songs outside. 

The wedding was officiated by Adam Sandler, as per Taylor's publicist, Trina Piane. In a statement, they further revealed that Taylor chose to wear a Christian Dior Haute Couture gown on her big day. They also did not have any bridesmaids or groomsmen.
