Meet Sophie Cachia, an Australian blogger and a mother who gave the traditional white wedding gown a miss. Instead, she chose to wear an absolutely gorgeous black fishtail dress, designed by Anthony Montesano that we cannot take our eyes off!

She is one of those many women who dared to do what they want and gave two hoots about what others think of her. She wrote in a blog:
“Most girls dream of the day when it’s their turn to scroll Pinterest and shop windows for that white dress…The thing was though, I never saw myself in those white dresses.”
As stunning as she looked, so did her husband who wore something absolutely offbeat for a groom.
He paired a maroon dinner jacket, paisley shirt and a black bow tie with what Sophie says:
“Women’s black wax-coated jeans because he couldn’t find men’s that were tight enough”!
What a dapper fellow he looks! In fact, it was her husband who suggested she wear black when they got engaged because he knew how much she loved wearing black. She thinks:
“It is classic. It looks good on just about everyone. It’s bold, it’s sexy, it’s daring.”
And, we could not agree more! The bridesmaids looked chic in their coordinated black outfits too!
They wore a simple black, high-neck dress with long sleeves. Here is another one with Sophie and her friends in this classic black and white filter photograph.
The boy gang was not far behind. They wore white shirts with bow ties and black pants paired with white converse shoes. So cool, isn’t it?

And, here you have the classic father-son photograph! Don’t they look just so adorable together? The couple has a 18-month-old son named Bobby.
As unconventional as her choice of her wedding outfit was, so was the wedding itself as it was disguised as Sophie’s 25th birthday party! Yes, can you believe it? This couple is definitely different from the rest who go the traditional way. She said:
“Our wedding’ was simply a big party bash, where we served pizza and paella, sacked the wedding cake for a Mr. Whippy Van instead and served a Cachia favourite of Ouzo all night.”
When her unconventional choice of wearing black went viral, Sophie had a perfect response for it:
“I don’t really see it as a bold choice, or taking a risk. I simply see it as me wearing exactly what I wanted to on my wedding day, not what I thought I had to wear.”
What do you think of it people? Don’t you think it is important to be you and not what others want you to be? Do you think you will have a wedding like theirs with no pressure of pleasing the world! While you are thinking, just pause for a couple of minutes and see some more pics from their 'black' wedding. You will understand the point we are trying to make!
