However, on March 8, 2026, when Anurag went live on IG and allegedly tried to take his life by crashing his car on a highway, the attempt shocked many. Several celebrities came in support of Anurag after the incident, including Elvish Yadav and Aly Goni.

However, it was influencer, Rajat Dalal’s statement that stole the spotlight. He slammed Anurag for his suicide attempt. Rajat shared that Anurag’s action is not at all acceptable, as he and his wife, Ritika Chauhan, are expecting their first child. Rajat was quoted as saying:

"Koi kuch bhi bole, yeh cheez galat hai aur acceptable nahi hai. Tumhara baccha iss duniya mein aane wala hai, itni khushi ki baat hai, itna proud moment hai. Itni aage ki sochne wali baat hai, aur uss waqt tum apni zindagi khatam karne ja rahe ho 4 cheezon ke chakkar mein?"

While there has been a huge online chatter surrounding Anurag’s current mental state, his wife, Ritika, has kept herself away from the following. In fact, Ritika’s last post on Instagram was in September 2025. Earlier, in September 2025, Anurag and his wife confirmed that they are expecting their first baby. Thus, pregnancy might be a reason behind Ritika staying away from social media.

The YouTuber shared a detailed video in which he revealed that his wife was feeling unwell. In the clip, the duo was seen arriving at a doctor's clinic, while Anurag remained shocked, the doctor hinted at Ritika's pregnancy. After undergoing some tests, it was confirmed that she was pregnant. The couple was expecting their first baby four months after their wedding. The duo tied the knot in May 2025 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

A few days ago, Anurag shared an emotional video on his YouTube channel, in which he seemed disturbed and mentally devastated. In the clip, he claimed that his family, especially his parents, had been torturing him ever since he got married to Ritika. Later, on March 4, 2026, he took to his Instagram Stories and shared a lengthy, heartfelt note. In the note, he mentioned how he has been mentally harassed since last year, 2025. His note can be read as:

"So, since last year, I have been mentally harassed by some people who took away everything from me. My family, financial power and relationship. I was tortured by my very own people to such an extent that jeene layak nahi choda. I fought the best I could, but now they have started following me to attempt a planned death attack on me. Jitna seh sakta tha hua abhi. Abb aur nahi suffer kar sakta mentally jaaunga zaroor lekin in sabke chehre aur reality bata ke jaaunga Abbb ni shen hota."
