A source cited by Page Six shared that Hailie has always overlooked Kim's past mistakes. She just wants to see her mother happy and healthy. Therefore, she has approached their bond with understanding and empathy. The people close to their family know that Hailie knows about the numerous personal struggles faced by Kim throughout her life. So, she has tried to avoid judging her mother's recent actions and focuses on maintaining their bond.
For those unaware, Kim's new legal troubles have added to her already significant personal struggles. The 51-year-old was recently taken into custody after a Michigan judge reportedly ended her bond linked to multiple pending cases. She is already dealing with drunken-driving-related legal issues that took place earlier in 2026.
Court records indicate that one case relates to her crash with another vehicle. Another case involves a parked car. After these incidents, emergency responders reported to her home in July 2026 after they were tipped about a suicide attempt.
Eventually, Kim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Sources say that the incident was challenging for Hailie, who gets concerned over every news or update about her mother's well-being. At the same time, she has been compassionate towards her mother. In the insider's words:
