Anthony Head's late wife, Sarah Fisher was a devoted mother, campaigner, and philanthropist. She was also the custodian of Tilley Farm, which was an animal sanctuary set up at her home in Bath. According to reports, Sarah and Anthony Head first crossed paths in the early ‘80s. In their years together, Anthony and Sarah became parents to two daughters, Emily and Daisy. The duo welcomed their eldest, Emily, on December 15, 1988 and their youngest, Daisy, on March 7, 1991. Sarah and Anthony raised their daughters while navigating completely different career paths. While Sarah transformed Tilley Farm, a 90-acre property which they had purchased in 2001, into a sanctuary for rescued horses, ponies and donkeys, Anthony continued on his path as an actor. In fact, he even had to spend a lot of time in LA, where he shot Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

While he was alive, Anthony was known for often gushing about his wife, Sarah, in interviews. There, he also noted how she was a major source of support when it came to his career. According to him, she had encouraged him to take acting classes and to take on shoots that were far from home. The actor told The Guardian in 2016:

“After I got the part of Rupert Giles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I lived in Los Angeles for five years, while my partner, Sarah and the girls – Daisy was four and Emily was six – stayed in England. The production team would work dates around me, and every time I got the chance to have six days clear, I'd get on a plane. I can't put into words how much I missed my family when I was in LA. Even now, I feel emotional about it. It was a real test.”

Anthony Head claimed that he owed an enormous amount to Sarah. According to him, she knew that he wanted to work in America, and when he got the chance, age gave him the push and told him to go for it and that she would hold the fort back home. Looking back at the time in hindsight, Anthony thought that the toke gave them all a wealth of opportunity as Buffy ran for seven seasons, and he had the best time of his life. He added that he tried to go home to Sarah and his daughters every three or four weeks.
