Actors and popular couple of the 90s, Will Smith and Sheree Zampino are back in the spotlight. The personal lives of the former spouses have once again made headlines. A recent controversy involving explosive accusations against Sheree has now placed her at the centre of a legal dispute. She is suing Bilaal Salaam, a former associate of her ex-husband, Will Smith, for over USD 1 million due to his unverified claims that she has been "sleeping with everyone in Hollywood." He even allegedly called her by the derogatory term, "whore".
According to Sheree's legal team, she has been "caught in the crossfire" of Salaam's long-standing public feud against Will Smith and his current wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. Thus, she sued Bilaal for a million alongwith punitive damages and coverage for her legal costs. Notably, Bilaal made demeaning comments about Will and Jada before, and even demanded millions from her, but this is the first time his attack has shifted to Sheree. The controversy brought her love story and split with Will back to the discussion.

Sheree Zampino is an American actress, reality television personality, and entrepreneur. She is best known as Will Smith's first wife. Beyond that, she has made a name for herself by carving out her own career in business and entertainment through years of hard work and resilience. Regarding her entertainment industry career, she joined the cast of the popular Bravo show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as a "friend" during Season 12. Before that, she starred in VH1's Hollywood Exes from 2012 to 2014. She was also the first guest on Jada Pinkett Smith's Facebook talk show, Red Table Talk, where they openly discussed their blended families.

Sheree Zampino is a fashion enthusiast who studied fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Drawing on knowledge gained from the course, she founded Sheree Elizabeth Boutique, an online fashion store. It sells everything from clothing and accessories to jewellery and sunglasses. She also launched Whoop Ash, a specialised line of moisturising body butter products. One lesser-known detail about her is her passion for cooking. Sheree likes to cook delicacies in her leisure time and shares photos of them on Instagram.

Interestingly, she uses the hashtag "#REEcipe" for her food updates so that her fans can easily search them. She also occasionally posts her son, Trey (whom she shares with Will Smith), enjoying her home-cooked meals. Sharing a photo of him digging into several dishes, on August 24, 2020, son, Trey Sheree wrote in the caption:

Will and Sheree's relationship started in 1991 on the set of the hit NBC sitcom, A Different World. Their love story is nothing short of a movie, as at that time, Will was trying to meet his future second wife, Jada Pinkett. However, fatefully, he ended up meeting and liking Sheree. She was on the set that day to support her friend, Billy, who was visiting writer, Orlando Jones. Billy played cupid and gave her phone number to Will without her initially knowing it. Both of them felt an instant spark when they chatted and soon started dating.

Will and Sheree had a whirlwind romance. He proposed to her on the Christmas Eve of 1991, the same year they met. Their engagement lasted roughly four and a half months, culminating in marriage. The couple walked down the aisle on May 9, 1992, in an intimate early-90s ceremony in Los Angeles, California. Not much information is available regarding their engagement or wedding day. Just five months later, they welcomed their only child, son, Trey (Willard Carroll Smith III). Notably, Will and Sheree's romance ended as quickly as it had progressed. Sheree filed for divorce on Valentine's Day in 1995. The divorce was finalised later that same year.
Will and Sheree were legally married for approximately 3 years and 7 months before officially parting ways. The former couple married when they were both in their early 20s. According to Sheree, they were too young to handle the heavy responsibilities of marriage and parenting. Additionally, as Will Smith's Hollywood career took off with The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and some major movie roles, his dynamic with his then-wife changed. According to Celebrity Talk, she felt they no longer functioned as a team, and he couldn't provide the emotional support she needed at the time. Opening up on her divorce, Sheree stated in a 2016 interview:
"Our marriage ended because we were so young. Marriage isn't easy, especially at that age. And now we're trying to be parents, navigate through our marriage... I couldn't reconcile all of that."
