One of the family members from Twisha's side who has been in the public eye for standing up for his elder sister is Twisha's brother, Major Harshit Sharma. He is serving in the Indian Army as an officer and has been making emotional pleas and justice campaigns related to his sister.

Twisha Sharma's younger brother, Major Harshit Sharma, first came into the limelight after her demise. She died five months after her marriage to Samarth Singh, and Major Harshit, as a soldier, off duty, became the strongest voice of his sister. He has been demanding justice for Twisha related to the circumstances of her death. Major Harshit Sharma performed the last rites of his sister, Twisha.

Major Harshit Sharma paid the final tribute to his elder sister, Twisha, and performed her last rites

Twisha Sharma's last rites were conducted on May 24, 2026, 12 days after her death. Her brother, Major Harshit Sharma's grief is unmatched. He conducted the last rites of his elder sister with unanswered questions lingering in his mind. He performed all the last rites puja, gave mukh agni to her funeral pyre and stood there seeing the flames turn Twisha's body into ash.

Major Harshit Sharma is reportedly posted in Ajmer, and his sister, Twisha, was to visit him

A Hindustan Times report stated that Twisha Sharma was scheduled to travel to Ajmer on May 15, 2026, to meet her brother, Major Harshit Sharma. Sadly, Twisha reportedly died by suicide on May 12, 2026, and an official had told the publication that:

"She was scheduled to travel to Ajmer on May 15, where her brother, Major Harshit Sharma, is posted. We are examining why she took such an extreme step despite having travel plans."

Major Harshit Sharma always kept a private life before the death of his sister, Twisha Sharma

There is little information available about Major Harshit Sharma's academic background. He kept a private life before the demise of his sister took place. Twisha's sister-in-law, Rashi Oberoi Sharma, was seen with Major Harshit Sharma during Twisha's last rites. It is not clear whether she is the wife of Major Harshit, but many online reports have claimed that she is Twisha's sister-in-law. She had told ANI in an interview:

"I have known her (Twisha) for a year, and she told me I am like a daughter and she is like a mother to me. We have already lost her, but she will always be with us. Just like she had been bold and strong, we will keep fighting for her till the end. We have always been fighting so that things are conducted in a just manner and she gets the justice she deserves."

Major Harshit Sharma revealed being threatened by Twisha Sharma's in-laws

Major Harshit Sharma, earlier in an interview with NDTV, had shared that a so-called ‘non-threat’ is sending people to threaten his dad inside the court premises. Major Harshit Sharma had claimed that the non-threat claimed that 30 men would beat them up. He claimed that all these were done by Twisha's mother-in-law, Giribhala Singh and said:

"How is a 63-year-old threatening a 61-year-old justified? Who gave her the authority to make such remarks about my deceased sister?

Major Harshit Sharma shared that Twisha Sharma used to call him 'beta'

Major Harshit Sharma, earlier in an interview with Barkha Dutt, revealed that his sister, Twisha, used to call him 'beta'. He blamed himself for not having done enough for his sister and shared that he has good memories of her. However, her first and last mistake was to marry Samarth Singh.
