According to a report by The Mirror, Tina and Kane first crossed paths on holiday in Ibiza in 2012. Later, in 2018, the couple got engaged. Outside wedlock, the pair welcomed a baby girl in 2021. Speaking about the following, in 2023, Tina shared that she and her fiance, Kane, were not married. But her mom would be happy to see her married. Tina was quoted as saying:

"We’re not married, but my mum would be happy about it. She’s like, ‘Put it on Instagram, pretend you’re married.’ I’m probably the first person in my family to have a baby out of wedlock. Honestly, I’d have imagined being disowned for that 10 years ago. Now it’s fine."

During a 2023 conversation, Tina Daheley described her partner, Kane William-Smith, as 'phenomenal.' She shared that as Kane does work from home, it helped her a lot with parenting. Tina mentioned that she left for work when Kane and their little daughter slept. She stated that although she has been managing both motherhood and work, there has been mom’s guilt. Tina was quoted as saying:

"My partner works from home, so that helps. He’s phenomenal. I’ll sneak out in the morning, making as little noise as possible while they’re both asleep. “But being a parent is tough. The hours at work are still brutal, and there’s perpetual mum guilt. People say, ‘Does it get easier?’ No. You’re permanently jet lagged. But it means I’m available for Athena a lot in the day."

Back in 2023, Tina got candid about motherhood. She shared that after becoming a mom, her priorities changed, and it gave her the confidence to set boundaries. She mentioned that motherhood taught her to balance work and personal life. Tina said, "This sounds corny and clichéd, but becoming a mum has empowered me to say no, because for a decade I just said yes to everything. I’d do Breakfast in the morning, then record a podcast, then do both the 6 pm and 10 pm news, then head to Manchester the next day for more filming. I have a much better work-life balance now. Anything I say no to means I can say yes to something else. We don’t talk enough about how much becoming a parent impacts you, but I wear being a mum very openly."

"After more than 7 years of early alarm calls on Radio 2, I'm stepping away from Radio 2 Breakfast. It's been one of the greatest privileges of my life to wake up with you every morning, and humbling to have been trusted to deliver the news on the biggest breakfast show in Europe. My breakfast run ends at Radio 2. Wishing Sara and her team the very best of luck. I'll be tuning in while doing the school run. I'm not leaving Radio 2, you'll hear me between 12-2 pm when Jeremy's away, and you'll see me on BBC One after the summer. Beyond that, watch this space…"
