According to reports, Thomas Partey's girlfriend, Janine Mackson, is a British-born model, social media personality and influencer. As of June 2026, she has over 19k followers on Instagram and is currently signed to Body London modelling agency. It is worth noting that despite dating a top footballer like Thomas Partey, she prefers to keep her personal life private. 

Inside Janine Mackson and Thomas Partey's relationship 

If reports are believed to be true, Thomas Partey and Janine Mackson got together sometime in 2022. However, they chose not to reveal their romantic relationship to the public at the time. A year later, in June 2023, Janine made a trip to Ghana to meet Thomas' family. It was in the same year, in October 2023, that Thomas and Janine's relationship gained a lot of public attention after the latter announced her pregnancy on Instagram. She shared a number of photos of her growing baby bump, calling it a “new beginning” for her and Thomas Partey.

Their daughter was born at the beginning of next year, in January 2025. Janine posted a photo of the newborn in a city alongside the caption, “The biggest blessing.” Later, Thomas also re-shared the announcement on his own page, confirming the news to his followers. It is worth noting that as of now, the pair have not revealed the name of their child.

Thomas Partey and Janine Mackson's relationship hit a milestone in May 2024 after the former Arsenal player proposed to her. Notably, the news of their engagement came just three months after Janine gave birth to their daughter, hinting at their commitment to each other. Reports suggest that Thomas got down on one knee while he and Janine were on vacation. And although neither of them revealed the location of their romantic trip, Thomas proposed on a beach during sunset. Following this, they also had a beachside dinner, photos of which Janine had shared on her Instagram Stories while also showing off her engagement ring. 

FIFA confirms that Thomas Partey will be unable to travel for the 2026 World Cup opening match between Ghana and Panama 

Ghana is supposed to start its World Cup campaign on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, in Toronto. However, it has been revealed that Thomas Partey will not be present for the same after the Canadian government denied his visa application. It is believed that this might have something to do with Thomas being charged with seven counts of rape and one count of sexual assault by London's Metropolitan Police, for which he is currently awaiting trial. After he has pleaded not guilty to all charges, a trial has been set for November 2026, although it could be delayed until next year. A statement issued by FIFA can be read as:

"FIFA can confirm that player Thomas Partey will be unable to travel from Ghana's team base camp in Boston, USA, to Canada for their first match against Panama on Wednesday, 17 June, as his visa application has been refused by the Canadian government. FIFA is not involved in the immigration processes of host countries, including the adjudication of visas. As with previous FIFA events, the host government ultimately determines who receives a visa and is admitted into the country."
