Luis "Louie" Ruelas is an American businessman and reality television personality best known as the husband of Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice. Born Luis Andres Ruelas on April 23, 1975, in the Bronx, he was raised in New York City before moving to the suburbs around the age of 13.
He attended Tappan Zee High School in Orangeburg, New York, and has two sisters and a brother. Ruelas began his entrepreneurial career early, launching his first company in the media field at the age of 19. In 2010, he became CEO of Interacting Marketing Solutions, where he worked for more than a decade.
In August 2012, he left to co-found Digital Media Solutions Group, a technology and digital marketing company. He served as Executive Vice President of Business Development and helped take the company public in 2020. He is also listed as co-founder of Digital Media Solutions.
Before Teresa Giudice, Ruelas was married to Marisa DiMartino Ruelas. They met as teenagers and married when he was 24. They share two sons, Louie Jr. and Nicholas. Ruelas has advocated for children with special needs, as his son Nicholas is on the autism spectrum. He has also been involved in philanthropy, feeding families in New York and New Jersey regularly. Ruelas began dating Giudice in November 2020 after her divorce from Joe Giudice.
The duo’s relationship became very public on RHONJ. He proposed in October 2021 at Amanzoe Resort in Porto Heli, Greece, with a fireworks display that read "Marry Me." They married on August 6, 2022, at Park Chateau Estate in East Brunswick, New Jersey, in a lavish ceremony filmed for the Bravo special Teresa Gets Married.

What happened at the airport, and how did Teresa Giudice react?
On September 23, 2026, police responded to Tampa International Airport after a dispute involving Teresa Giudice and daughters Milania, 20, and Gia, 25. According to bodycam footage obtained by Page Six and TMZ, Milania had been separated for about 45 minutes and was found sitting on the terminal floor refusing to board.
Milania told officers that she posted video of the argument and asked if they wanted to put her back in the psych ward. Gia told her everyone was trying to help and staying in Florida was not good for her. Officers said she was not controlling the situation and told her to sit. Audio captured an officer saying Milania had just been released under Florida's Baker Act, which allows a 72-hour hold for evaluation, and the family had hired a counselor.
The officer described her as a danger to herself and called the situation serious. In an elevator, Teresa told police Milania had fentanyl in her system. Milania replied she had been laced and goes to college at the University of Tampa. The family was escorted to the gate and boarded with no arrests.
On September 28, 2026, after footage went viral, Teresa posted to Instagram Stories saying her children's health and safety were her priority and recent months had been difficult. She said Milania had suffered heartbreak after losing two best friends and was dealing with trauma. She said her focus was on surrounding Milania with love and professional care and asked the public for compassion, privacy, and prayers to let her daughter heal.
