The Hollywood star was recently spotted on a vacation in Costa Rica with actress, Sutton Foster, where the two were seen enjoying a sunset swim in the ocean. They held hands, laughed, and basked in the soft waves of affection. Who is Sutton Foster? 

Sutton Foster was born on March 18, 1975, in Statesboro, Georgia, and was later raised in Troy, Michigan. Sutton is a renowned American actress, singer, and dancer. She is best known for her work on Broadway. Professionally, she is a two-time Tony Award winner and well-known in the theatre circles. Sutton made her Broadway debut in 1996 in a revival of Grease and became a household name with her lead role in Thoroughly Modern Millie in 2002.

It brought Sutton her first Tony award. Whereas her second Tony Award came for her role as 'Reno Sweeney' in the 2011 revival of Anything Goes. Some of her other memorable Broadway shows include Shrek the Musical, where she played 'Princess Fiona'. Apart from the stage, Sutton has been featured in TV series such as Younger, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and The Angriest Man in Brooklyn. She is also a visual artist and has exhibited her artwork in New York City.

Regarding Sutton's personal life, she has been married twice. Her first marriage was to fellow Broadway actor Christian Borle, from 2006 to 2009. She later tied the knot for the second time with screenwriter Ted Griffin in 2014. The couple adopted a daughter, Emily, in 2017, before filing for divorce in October 2024.

How did Sutton Foster and Hugh Jackman meet?

Sutton Foster and Hugh Jackman met on Broadway while working together on the revival of The Music Man. They were both cast as leads in 2019, but the rehearsals were delayed due to the pandemic. It finally began in late 2021, and the show opened in February 2022, running until January 2024. Notably, both actors were still married during that time. Hugh Jackman was married to Deborah-Lee, and Sutton Foster was married to Ted. 

However, their friendship moved forward into love only after their marriages had ended. Later, Hugh Jackman formally announced his separation from Deborra-Lee in September 2023 after 27 years of togetherness. On the other hand, Sutton Foster finalized her split in 2024. Subsequently, Sutton and Hugh went public with their relationship in 2025 when they were spotted holding hands by the media. Sharing her experience working with Hugh, Sutton once told Elle:
