Who Is Snoop Dogg's Daughter, Cori Broadus? Her Story Amid Her Baby's Death After 10 Months In NICU

The Broadus family are dealing with an unimaginable loss at the moment. Cori Broadus, the only daughter of Snoop Dogg and Shanté Broadus has announced on January 31, 2026 about the passing of her 10-month-old daughter, Codi Dreaux. The little one has passed away after spending most of her life in the NICU. The heartbreaking update came just months after Cori opened up about her baby's fragile journey with her social media followers and how she hoped for a miracle. Instead, she is now trying to deal with the overwhelming grief, which adds to her already difficult life journey.

Who Is Cori Broadus?

Cori Broadus was born on June 22, 1999. She is the youngest of Snoop Dogg's four children and his only daughter. Unlike the common notion that she might have led a comfortable and luxurious life as the daughter of a prominent rapper, Cori's reality was far from it. She grew up largely out of the spotlight but has emerged in recent years as an entrepreneur, singer, and health advocate. She performs under the name Choc and has released independent music. The 26-year-old later launched her beauty brand, Choc Factory, which focuses on making inclusive lip products for diverse skin tones.

However, the challenges in her life began right from her childhood after she was diagnosed with lupus, an autoimmune condition, at 6. It led to her hair loss, drastic weight changes, and years of medication. Cori once sat down for an interview with People and described that the illness affected her childhood and mental health. Later, in 2023, the entrepreneur opened up about transitioning towards a holistic lifestyle after feeling overwhelmed by years of heavy medication.

Moreover, in January 2024, Cori suffered a severe stroke at just 24. She later shared on Instagram how she experienced symptoms like blurry vision, nausea, and headaches that had appeared the day before. Eventually, she had a slow and steady recovery. In the past, she has also spoken about depression and a past suicide attempt, positioning herself as a mental health advocate for young people.

Cori Broadus and Wayne Duece's love story 

Cori Broadus has always maintained a positive outlook on life despite her health struggles and hopes to build a family one day. It proved somewhat true when her fiancé, Wayne Deuce, entered their lives. They began dating in 2018, and their relationship and wedding planning were even documented in an E! special in late 2024.

Cori Broadus' daughter, Codi Dreaux, lost her battle for life

Back in December 2024, Cori and Wayne announced that she was expecting her first child. However, her existing health condition of lupus made her pregnancy a high-risk pregnancy. Again in 2025, doctors diagnosed her with HELLP syndrome, a dangerous complication related to preeclampsia. Consequently, she had an emergency delivery at just 25 weeks. Since her daughter, Codi Dreaux, was born extremely premature and immediately, she was admitted to the NICU and Cori shared regular updates, calling her a "warrior princess".

Codi Dreaux spent nearly her entire life in the neonatal care. According to Cori's update, the infant had only been home for about 20 days before passing away on January 26, 2026. She expressed that she was heartbroken over the loss, but grateful for the time she had.
