Pratham Mittal's educational background has been diverse. He had studied at The Doon School and then went to the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Pratham studied Systems Engineering and Political Science there, then went to the London School of Economics and Political Science. Pratham, over there, studied International Relations and Affairs.

Pratham grew up in a family that was closely tied to the education sector. This is because Pratham's dad, Dr. Ashok Mittal, is the Chancellor of Lovely Professional University, located in Punjab. It is interesting to note that before Pratham had launched the Masters’ Union and Tetr College, he had cemented his base in the technology world with OTGrow. According to a Mint report, Pratham, through his ventures and investments, has helped many early-stage startups. Pratham has also influenced the education ecosystem, where he leads and supports ventures.

Pratham Mittal reacts to joining Shark Tank India Season 5 as a new judge

Pratham Mittal, in a recent interview with the Hindustan Times, revealed why he joined Shark Tank India Season 5. He revealed that he has always wanted to work with young business creators and said that one can't be overly critical of young entrepreneurs. Pratham revealed that even if they made mistakes, they had to be told that it was okay, rather than being put down. Pratham also called the TV medium as a ruthless platform and said:

"We need to bring more heart into it, and I hope I can be that positive voice. Right now, the narrative towards entrepreneurship is a little critical, and that makes me uncomfortable. I mean, this person has left their job to try something new. They need feedback, not criticism.”

Pratham Mittal in Shark Tank India Season 5 will be seen with the seasoned judges

Shark Tank India Season 5 will feature seasoned veterans as well as new faces. The sharks of Season 5 are Anupam Mittal (Shaadi.com), Aman Gupta (boAt), Namita Thapar (Emcure Pharmaceuticals), Peyush Bansal (Lenskart), Vineeta Singh (SUGAR Cosmetics), Amit Jain (CarDekho), Ritesh Agarwal (OYO), Kunal Bahl (Snapdeal, Titan Capital), along with Viraj Bahl (Veeba). Pratham is not the only new judge who will be seen in the panel. Apart from him, new faces include Varun Alagh (Honasa Consumer), Mohit Yadav (Minimalist), Shaily Mehrotra (Fixderma India), Hardik Kothiya (Rayzon Solar), along with Kanika Tekriwal (JetSetGo Aviation).
