With the final round underway, Ryan had managed to hold onto the top spot on the leaderboard and eventually emerged victorious. Amid Ryan’s win, let us introduce you to his biggest supporter, his wife, Anneke Ryff.
Who is Ryan Fox’s wife, Anneke Ryff?
Ryan Fox's wife, Anneke Ryff, has an intriguing birth story. According to reports, Anneke’s mother went into labour just a few hours after the All Blacks from the Kiwi land bagged the Rugby World Cup trophy. Because of this, growing up, Anneke became a huge rugby fan. Her father, Mike Ryff, once revealed the same, saying, “Strangely, she's been a rugby fanatic ever since, without a doubt. I think it was born into her.”
Meanwhile, Anneke’s mother, Robyn, had claimed that her daughter hung onto her until the cup was lifted. She believed that it was “fate” that Anneke was linked to rugby from the moment she was born. Since Anneke missed out on witnessing the Kiwis’ victory in 1987, she made it a point to attend the 2011 edition, and then, too, the All Blacks ended up winning.

Coming to Anneke’s relationship with Ryan Fox, her love for rugby connected her to the latter. For those who don't know, the 1987 All Blacks team had Ryan’s father, Grant Fox, as a member. When the duo was in college, and Anneke was preparing to become a physiotherapist, she and Ryan crossed paths at a party. She recalled that before the golfer’s arrival there, everyone was talking about him coming to the party. Anneke said:
“It's funny, before we met, we heard a son of a famous All Black was at the same event.”
In a later interview, Anneke revealed that her friends wanted her to meet Ryan. However, she clarified that his being the son of an All Blacks member was not why she decided to remain with the pro. They naturally developed a bond until it grew into something deeper.
The couple was together for almost a decade before they tied the knot. After Anneke said yes to Ryan’s proposal, they married at the luxurious Rakino Island on March 9, 2019. It is worth mentioning that this was shortly after Ryan Fox managed to win at the ISPS Handa World Super 6 in Perth.
A year after their wedding, Anneke became pregnant with their first child. On December 18, 2020, the pair welcomed their first child, a daughter named Isabol Marion Fox. Even after Isabol’s birth, Anneke continued to support her husband’s career. In May 2023, she and Ryan expanded their family once again with the birth of their second child, Margot Fox.
Anneke Ryff has supported Ryan Fox during several championships
With Ryan and Anneke being together for over two decades, she has stayed by the golfer's side through a number of championships. This includes when he won the DP World Tour and the BMW PGA Championship, among others. Many might not be aware, but Anneke had also served as her husband’s caddie at the Masters P3 Tournament.

Ryan has always been vocal about the support he receives from his wife when it comes to his golf career. Even after his recent 2026 British Open win, Ryan did not forget to thank Anneke and his family. He was quoted as saying:
“I have a lot of people to thank. First of all my family. My wife and kids are in Florida at the moment. When I spoke to my kids last night they said bring back a trophy, I think this is a pretty cool one to bring back for them.”
