Gospel music pioneer, Dr. Ron Kenoly, died on February 3, 2026, at the age of 81. The news was confirmed by his longtime music director and friend, Bruno Miranda, through a statement on social media. While a specific cause of death was not immediately disclosed, it was noted that Ron Kenoly had faced a health scare in June 2024 involving adverse reactions to medication. His demise has left his family, friends and fans heartbroken. As condolences pour in for his family, here's a look at his second wife, whom he married after the passing of his first wife.

Ron Kenoly and his second wife, Diana Kenoly, began their relationship years after his first wife, Tavita, died. She is a highly accomplished United Nations Ambassador-at-Large, an ordained minister, and an Executive Director of the John Maxwell Team. Diana holds a degree in accounting and finance from Warwick Business School in the United Kingdom and later earned a Doctorate. Originally based in Orlando, Florida, Diana Kenoly has a professional background in global operations management and IT development.
Ron Kenoly often publicly expressed his love for his wife, Diana, by speaking fondly of her. The gospel legend credited her with helping him through significant health and financial challenges during their marriage. Coming to Diana Kenoly's background, she is of Kenyan and Ugandan descent and has been affectionately referred to by Ron Kenoly as his "Nubian Queen". When he introduced his beloved second wife to the world, he took to social media and wrote:
"I am truly blessed to have a wife of love, talent, wisdom, knowledge, beauty, class, patience with me, and understanding. She has helped me through some major health crisises, personal misfortunes, and financial setbacks. In the midst of many challenges and difficulties she has become an Executive Director of the John Maxwell Team, recieved a Doctorate Degree, become an ordained minister, and a United Nations Ambassador. I prayed for a wife and our Heavenly Father gave me a 'Nubian Queen'."

Ron Kenoly and Diana Kenoly were married on November 24, 2014. Their marriage lasted over 11 years until Ron Kenoly's passing on February 3, 2026. The couple's decade-long relationship was one of love, trust and mutual respect. Ron and Diana had very different professions, and they needed to understand each other's career demands in order to be together. Diana was not just a loving wife, but also a doting stepmother of Ron's three kids from his first marriage. Diana does not have biological children with Ron. They shared a life focused on ministry, often sending joint blessings and performing together on stage.

Tavita Kenoly was a singer who performed alongside her husband, notably providing vocals on his album, Lord I Magnify. She and Ron connected over their shared faith and love for singing. Tavita is credited with supporting Ron through significant personal challenges, including his successful journey through dr*g treatment and addiction recovery in the mid-1970s. Not much is known about her background, since she likes to stay out of the spotlight.
Ron met Tavita while serving in the United States Air Force. The couple felt an instant connection in their first encounter and started dating soon after. Upon realising their mutual feelings for each other, Ron and Tavita tied the knot in the late 1960s. They were married for over 42 years until her passing in the early to mid-2000s. Ron and Tavita were a happily married couple with three sons, Samuel, Ronald, and Tony Kenoly. Specifics of their birth and ages are not publicly available. Now that both the biological parents of the kids are deceased, Ron's second wife, Diana, became their sole family.
While Ron Kenoly's death was confirmed by his longtime music director, Bruno Miranda, an official cause of death has not been publicly disclosed. Recent reports indicate that in June 2024, the Gospel singer was hospitalised after contracting pneumonia and experiencing adverse effects from conflicting medications. At that time, his son, Samuel, stated he was "out of the woods." Ron passed away surrounded by tributes from the global Christian community. Tributes have poured in from the global Christian community, with figures like Nathaniel Bassey and TMZ honouring him as a "generational gift" who helped redefine modern congregational worship.
