After winning hearts and impressing audiences with his charm in Dancing with the Stars Season 34, Robert Irwin is off the market. According to a new report by US Weekly, the 22-year-old son of the late Steve Irwin is reportedly dating American wildlife photographer, Ashleigh Scully. The update comes months after he won fans' hearts and took home the mirrorball trophy. Insiders claim that the duo have been together for months and Ashleigh even joined Robert on parts of his Dancing with the Stars tour. Although neither has commented on their relationship, sources reveal that they have become a couple. 

Who is Ashleigh Scully?

Ashleigh Scully is a 24-year-old wildlife photographer and conservation enthusiast. She hails from New Jersey but now lives in Jackson, Wyoming. However, Ashleigh's work has taken her to some of the remotest parts of the world. Like Robert, photography was a major part of her life while she was growing up. She reportedly picked up a camera at the age of eight. Needless to say, Ashleigh has not looked back since then. Until now, she has captured wild animals through her lens in Tanzania, British Columbia, Norway, and Alaska. Her work mainly focuses on bears, foxes, owls, and marine life.

In turn, her talent has brought her several photography honours throughout her career. In fact, Ashleigh built a strong reputation within the wildlife photography community owing to her dedication to conservation and nature. Apart from photography, she also has an impressive education and athletic background. The 24-year-old attended Texas Christian University and earned her graduate and post-graduate degrees in Literature. Around the same time, she was a competitive equestrian athlete and served as a team captain. But now photography has become her full-time profession. 

Inside Robert Irwin and Ashleigh Scully's bond 

Although reports about Ashleigh Scully and Robert Irwin's romance have now become public, they share an old bond. The duo reportedly met in 2019 through National Geographic's MyShot photography platform. Robert and Ashleigh both turned up at the event to showcase their work and connect with others who had similar interests. Soon, their friendship developed from their shared passion for wildlife, photography, and conservation. 

However, their romance rumours gained momentum when they were spotted together on Australia's Gold Coast. Fans also saw the pair together at diving trips and outdoor adventures, sparking rumours. The rumours gained momentum when Scully joined Robert for parts of his Dancing with the Stars journey. She even joined him and his fellow participants on the show on a driving trip. 

More about Robert Irwin 

Robert Irwin has spent most of her life in the public eye. He is the son of legendary wildlife expert Steve Irwin and conservationist Terri Irwin. He grew up around animals and worked at Australia Zoo. Over time, Robert made his individual identity as a wildlife photographer, TV host and conversion advocate.

Currently, he helps to manage the Australia Zoo and serves as a global ambassador for environmental causes. Needless to say, his stint on Dancing with the Stars Season 34 increased his fame beyond the wildlife enthusiast community. He earlier dated Rorie Buckey, but the pair seperated in 2024. Speaking about his dating life earlier, Robert said:

"My mom and dad met when she was this American tourist coming over to Australia, and that's also how my sister met her husband. I've been saying, when is that going to happen for me?"
