She had stated that anxiety takes away the filters that allow us to ignore the uncertain reality of our lives. She stated that all of us are living incredibly in an uncertain state and said:

"This is the human condition. When we are anxious we sort of see that reality upfront. Whereas when we are not anxious we are able to push things aside. It's like the anxious perception about uncertainty is for the most part pretty accurate. It is accurate of knowing we won't know what tomorrow will be like or what an hour from now will be like."

When I came home and locked myself in the study to do interviews, he was angry, and rightfully so. You need to reprioritise your life when you have a child. And the films I’m going to make, I have to think about him and his well-being. But when I made The Witch, everyone said, If you have a child, you would’ve never killed the baby in the beginning like that."
