According to a report by News24, Jatin Hukkeri hails from an influential political family in North Karnataka. According to his LinkedIn bio, Jatin is an experienced Architectural Designer with a history of working in the Hospitality Architecture and planning industry. He graduated from RV College of Engineering with a degree in Architecture and Interior Design. He also has a specialisation in Disruptive Market Innovation at the Royal College of Art in London. Jatin is the founder and creative director of WDA and DECODE LLC and the founder of Craft CoDe.

According to a report by TOI, Jatin has worked on many high-profile projects, including popular Bengaluru establishments like Hangover, XOOX, and Brewmill. Coming to his personal life, Jatin tied the knot with Ranya in November 2024. Their wedding ceremony was held at the luxurious Taj West End and was nothing less than a grand affair. Following their high-profile wedding ceremony, the couple settled into a lavish apartment on Bengaluru’s upscale Lavelle Road. A few months ago, Jatin caught investigators’ attention when he took four trips to Dubai within 15 days. According to the police, Jatin travelled with Ranya to Dubai multiple times.

The year, 2025 had been a tough year for the Kannada actress, Ranya. In the same year, Ranya was arrested for her association with a gold smuggling case. She also faced personal turmoil as her husband, Jatin, filed for divorce from her. At the time, Jatin spoke at a press conference about his decision to file for divorce. Jatin highlighted that ever since he got married to Ranya, he had been enduring pain and distress. In his words:

"Since the day we got married, I have been enduring pain and distress. Today, I have made the decision to file for divorce."

Shortly after Ranya Rao’s arrest in 2025, Jatin filed a plea seeking exemption from arrest in a gold smuggling case. Jatin feared that he could be taken into custody due to his connection with Ranya. In his petition, Jatin mentioned that although he and Ranya were not officially divorced, they had been staying apart since shortly after their marriage. Jatin’s plea further mentioned that he and Ranya, just a month after their wedding in November 2025, started living separately. The reason behind Ranya and Jatin living separately was due to some unspecified reasons.

A report by Times Now claimed that Jatin told the Enforcement Directorate officials that the Kannada actress, Ranya, never revealed details about her work to him. As per the same outlet, Ranya argued with Jatin whenever he enquired about her businesses. The report also claimed that Jatin and Ranya met just 45 days before their high-profile wedding, and thus, the former couldn’t do a thorough background check on her. Reportedly, Jatin shared that his marriage to the Kannada actress, Ranya Rao, lasted only for four months. The current status of Jatin’s divorce filing is not known.
