Especially now the authorities and the media have been uncovering what happened in the days and months leading up to her tragic demise. Although earlier there was no public information about her husband, new reports have revealed that she was indeed married to Navek Cejas, and there were a series of legal incidents involving them before she was found dead at a San Francisco hotel on New Year's Eve at 34. Who is Navek Cejas?

According to the Daily Mail and RadarOnline. Navek Ceja (also known as Cejas) is a 44-year-old wealthy Napa Valley Vineyard owner and a member of the family behind Ceja Vineyards. He comes from a well-known Mexican-American family with a prominent family-run winery in California. Navek is considered part of the next generation of leadership at the vineyard, which reflects his immigrant family's successful journey from farm workers to renowned winemakers. Despite his wealth, Navek has largely stayed out of the public eye until his marriage to Victoria and especially her death brought him into the spotlight. 

As per the same outlet and TMZ, Navek had earlier contacted the police in April 2025 and expressed his concern over Victoria's alleged use of illicit substances at their family winery. When officers arrived to take action, they found her disjointed. They took her under arrest for being under the influence of a controlled substance, resisting her arrest, and possessing a narcotic item. Later, Victoria pleaded not guilty to the charge, and the case was set for next year at the time of her death.

Victoria Jones was charged with a physical altercation with her husband before her demise

According to some more charging documents, the Daily Mail revealed that once again in June 2025, Victoria was arrested after a physical altercation with her husband, Navek Cejas, at the Carneros Resort and Spa in Sonoma. Authorities have alleged that during the heated argument over her persistent use of illicit drinking and drinking, she slapped her husband twice and he had visible redness on his face. Later, she was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery and elder abuse. The next hearing for the case was also scheduled for January 20, 2026. Meanwhile, Navek Cejas has not responded for comment or clarification from Page Six after her demise

How did Victoria Jones die?

Victoria Jones' body was found on the 14th floor of the Fairmont San Francisco during the early hours of January 1, 2025. According to Page Six, the San Francisco Fire Department's first responders were called at 2:52 a.m. for a reported medical emergency, and bystanders were instructed to perform CPR. Later, the paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene, and the case was given to the San Francisco Police Department and the Medical Examiner's office.

Although the official cause of death has not yet been finalised, the law enforcement sources told TMZ that Victoria's lips and fingernails appeared bluish when they arrived on the scene. Also, some eyewitnesses allegedly said that they saw her using illicit substances prior to her demise. However, the authorities have emphasised that these details or alleged reports do not confirm the final cause of Victoria Jones' death. Meanwhile, Victoria was Tommy Lee Jones' and his first wife, Kimberlea Cloughley's daughter, who stepped away from acting after a couple of projects and lived largely outside the spotlight. Sharing a statement on her death, the Jones family said:

"We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time."
