"I was just kind of appalled that they never enlisted Crime Stoppers' help at the beginning or much sooner, and I finally decided if no one else is going to do it, I'd better do it. They're sent to a location where they're paid, and no one ever knows their name, and if somebody has a phony tip, they're not going to get a reward in advance because there has to be an arrest."

Amid everything else, Nancy Guthrie has been missing for more than two weeks now, and TMZ received a fourth ransom note, adding more tension to the case. According to the news outlet, the note was sent via email, claiming the sender had firsthand knowledge of Nancy's kidnapping. It demanded USD 50,000 in Bitcoin in exchange for revealing details about her location. Moreover, it claimed he had seen Nancy "South of the border" and alleged that multiple individuals were involved in the abduction. The news organisation's founder, Harvey Levin, reportedly responded by urging the sender to share the information so it could be passed to the FBI. Authorities have not confirmed whether the ransom claims are credible, but they have begun investigating them.
