Minnie Driver was born on January 31, 1970, in London and raised in Barbados until she was seven. Minnie’s father, Charles Ronald "Ronnie" Driver, was a businessman, while her mother, Gaynor Churchward, was a designer and former couture model. For the uninitiated, Minnie’s mother was her father's mistress while he was still married to his previous wife. Minnie also has a sister named Kate Driver, who is a manager and producer.
Minnie Driver made her acting debut with the 1991 TV advertisement for Right Guard deodorant. In the same year, she made her stage debut. She rose to fame with her breakout role in the 1995 film, Circle of Friends. She appeared in many cult classics, including Grosse Point Blank, Big Night, and Owning Mahowny. She also starred in many family dramas, Tarzan and Ella Enchanted. Minnie earned an Oscar nomination for Best Actress in a Supporting role in the film, Good Will Hunting.
Coming to her personal life, Minnie Driver is a mom to her son named Henry Story Driver. Henry was born on September 5, 2008, in Los Angeles from Minnie’s brief relationship with television writer and producer Timothy J. Lea. She is currently dating and engaged to filmmaker and writer Addison O'Dea. They have been together since 2018 and got engaged in 2019.

Matt Damon and Minnie Driver were one of the most adorable pairs in Hollywood. In 1998, the former pair crossed paths on the set of Good Will Hunting. During the filming between April and June 1997, the two began seeing each other. As the filming progressed, so did their relationship. Recalling the moment when she fell in love with Matt, in an interview with The Telegraph in 2012, Minnie shared:
"In real life, by the time we filmed this scene, I was completely in love with Matt. I was blown away by his commitment to me as an actor; he was cute and intelligent and altogether a really charming package. I was young, and I fell for him – it's an occupational hazard."
However, Matt and Minnie's romance was short-lived. Just before the Oscars, the pair called it quits. A video showing sad Minnie at the 1998 Oscars quickly went viral on the internet. Opening up about their split, Minnie replied to a fan, "Matt had ended our relationship a few weeks before this, and was at the Oscars with his new girlfriend. I was devastated. Wish I could have celebrated more as it was an amazing moment for all of us, and for this wonderful film!"
In a 2022 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Minnie recalled how her parents advised her not to date actor Matt Damon. Recalling the moment, Minnie shared:
"My family loved Matt — it wasn't that. It was that they could see that this young man was rocketing really fast and so was I, and when you're young, it's pretty hard to keep your head on straight and to maintain a grounded sense of deportment. They were like, 'This may well end badly for reasons that are to do with all these things coming together in a perfect storm.' And also, like, you shouldn't date someone you work with."
