Lil Wayne, born Dwayne Michael Carter, is a renowned American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. At present, however, Lil Wayne is grabbing the headlines not for his music but for reportedly getting engaged in secret. As per TMZ, the 43-year-old is set to tie the knot with a woman from Indiana who is in her 20s. Amid the news, many have become curious to know about Lil Wayne's ex-girlfriend, Denise Bidot. 

Denise Bidot comes from a Latina and Middle Eastern background

According to a report by People, Denise Bidot was born to a Puerto Rican mother and a Kuwaiti father. This makes her both Latina and Middle Eastern. She spent her childhood in Miami before deciding to move to Hollywood when she was only 18 to try her hand at acting. However, during an interview with Cosmopolitan, Denise revealed that her start in the industry wasn't really easy. She explained: 

"When I came onto the scene, people were like, 'What do we do with you? Where does she go?' I feel like one of the few Latina girls doing it, and I'm proud of that, but I also want to be here for all women. I'm glad I can be a role model in the industry, because growing up, I didn't really have that."

Denise Bidot has worked as an actress, model, and makeup artist

During a conversation with The Fashion Spot, Denise Bidot shared that she has actually never dreamed of walking the runway. Although she knew that she would be a part of the entertainment industry while growing up, she thought that there was no chance she could become a model, as she was neither petite nor tall. 

Apparently, after she moved to LA to become an actress and began auditioning, she would often be told to lose weight. This is when she decided to go to beauty school, but ended up getting scouted while working as a makeup artist. She revealed that at first she thought it was a joke because she had no idea that the plus-size industry existed. After her foray into modelling, Denise has modelled for Kohl's, Macy's, Target, Levi's, Forever21 and Khole Kardashian's Good American.

Denise Bidot promotes body positivity 

Denise Bidot is known for promoting body positivity. In 2017, she was seen posing in an unretouched Lane Bryant ad in Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit issue. Speaking about the issue, Denise told People that she was super excited to find out that the photo was released unretouched. She added that she is “pretty unapologetic about my body.” 
A quick look at Denise's Instagram shows that she usually shares unretouched images of herself on her profile as well. Notably, alongside a bikini shot of herself, she wrote, “It's 2022, we out here…stretch marks, cellulite, rolls, who cares?” 

Denise Bidot is a mom

According to reports, Denise Bidot has a daughter from a previous relationship, and the duo seems to share a really close bond. As per Romper, her daughter, Joselyn Adams, who graduated high school in June 2022, is her biggest cheerleader, and the pair have even walked together on the runway. Being a proud mother, Denise wishes to pass down all the lessons that she has learned about self-love and body positivity to her daughter. In an essay for Refinery29, she wrote: 

"Nowhere have I felt so much awesome responsibility than when teaching my daughter that there is no wrong way to be herself — to be a young woman, whatever her size. I know how early these ideas are instilled in each new generation, and it's my job to be that voice; to tell her that she is beautiful and that she can achieve whatever she sets her mind to."

Lil Wayne has written love songs about Denise Bidot 

For those unaware, he has written love songs about his then-girlfriend, Denise Bidot. In April 2021, the rapper teased a clip from an unreleased love song on his Instagram handle. Denise reposted the same but added a sweet and short caption, “@liltunechi I love you, boo.” In the clip, Lil Wayne can be heard singing, “Okay, you wanna talk about / Let's write our names in the sand / Draw a heart around it, yeah.” As he sang the line, Denise could be seen outlining a heart in the sand with her hands.

Denise Bidot and Lil Wayne have sparked marriage rumours

If reports are believed to be true, Lil Wayne and Denise Bidot had an on-and-off relationship. Despite this, the duo have also sparked marriage rumours. It all began in April 2021 when Lil Wayne shared a cryptic tweet alluding to the beginning of a new chapter. He wrote, “Happiest man alive! Today is the beginning of our forever. Forever?? Forever, ever? Forever ever!!!!! The Carters.” However, during an Instagram live with Nicki Minaj a couple of months later, he clarified that he was referring to his sons' rap group and that he and Denise Bidot had not married.
