Who is Kim Biermann? Former NFL star and Kim Zolciak's ex-husband
Kroy Biermann is a former NFL player who spent the majority of his football career with the Atlanta Falcons. The team selected him in the fifth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. In turn, he went on to play as a linebacker and defensive end for multiple seasons. After leaving the team, he briefly signed with the Buffalo Bills. Eventually, he stepped away from professional football.
Beyond football, Kroy became a household name through reality TV after dating Kim Zolciak. They tied the knot in November 2011 and appeared together on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. In fact, they were also seen in their separate reality series, Don't Be Tardy. At the same time, they welcomed four children together: Kroy Jr, Kash, and twins Kaia and Kane. Simultaneously, Kroy also legally adopted Kim's daughters, Brielle and Ariana, from her previous relationships.

The latest update in Kroy Biermann and Kim Zolciak's divorce came after she paid USD 2,535 in unpaid court-ordered fees. She owed the amount to a guardian ad litem assigned to their divorce proceedings. According to legal documents, a Georgia judge had ordered Kim to pay the amount after the guardian interviewed both parents and their four minor kids to understand the custody issue.
The judge warned that failing to pay the fee by the deadline could result in jail. Eventually, Kim paid the complete amount to remove the immediate risk of incarceration. For those unaware, the guardian ad litem has been a point of disagreement in the case.
Kim had previously claimed that the guardian had failed to properly consider her concerns about Kroy's parenting and complaints about abuse. On the other hand, the former NFL star rejected the claims and accused her of exposing kids to mental and emotional harm. Meanwhile, the battle over custody, child support and other legal matters continues.
Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann's split has been one of the most closely followed celebrity separations in recent years. Initially, they filed for divorce in 2023 before a brief reconciliation. But later, they resigned from the legal proceedings. Since then, they have made multiple court appearances over custody and financial issues.
The legal conflict has also affected their family relationships. Kim's older daughter, Brielle, who Kroy later adopted, mentioned that she did not speak to him for sometime now. She admitted that it is unclear if he will attend her upcoming wedding.
