Who is Hannah Rubio?
Hannah Rubio is the 13-year-old daughter of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way star Armando Rubio. She was first introduced to the viewers when the star shared about his life as a single father in Mexico. Eventually, he began his relationship with Kenneth "Kenny" Niedermeier on the show.
In turn, along with the couple, fans watched Hannah grow up on screen and quickly began to admire her cheerful personality and close bond with her father. However, the 13-year-old's life was anything but easy.
Hannah's biological mother died in a tragic car accident when she was pregnant with Hannah's unborn sibling. But despite the loss, she found her family in Armando and Kenny, who became her stepfather. The warm family dynamic has made them one of the most loved families in the 90 Day Fiance franchise.
On the other hand, Armando and Kenny made their debut on the show's Season 2. They made history by becoming the first same-sex couple in the franchise's history. In fact, Kenny left his life in Florida to move to Mexico to build a home with Armando and Hannah.
Eventually, they got married in a Mexican ceremony during the Season 3 finale in 2021. Previously, the couple had appeared on 90 Day Diaries, where they shared their plans to eventually move their family to the United States for Hannah's studies.
Hannah Rubio's health update
Hannah Rubio suddenly made headlines when she suffered a sudden neurological medical emergency in July 2026. It left one side of her face drooping and half of her body weak. In turn, she was first taken by ambulance from her hometown in Mexico to Arizona for advanced testing. Later, she was airlifted to a hospital in Phoenix, where doctors found bleeding in her brain.
The 13-year-old continues to remain in the ICU while specialists continue to run tests on her to find the cause of her illness. However, Armando has been unable to cross the U.S. border after his request for humanitarian parole was denied. Therefore, he has been separated from his daughter during her hospitalization. Sharing about his feelings on not being able to stay with Hannah amid her hospitalization, Armando said:
"Every parent wants to be at their child's bedside when they're sick, and not being able to hold her hand or comfort her has been the hardest thing I've ever experienced. I am doing everything within my power to be reunited with her because, more than anything, she needs her daddy, and I need to be with my little girl."
What lies ahead for Hannah?
For now, Hannah is in the hospital where the doctors are trying to find out what caused her condition. Armando recently shared that if the latest tests do not give them adequate answers, the medical team will proceed with more invasive procedures. Therefore, Hannah's family is waiting for clarity. Meanwhile, Kenny has been by Hannah's bedside, and fans from across the world are praying for her wellness.
