Katherine LaNasa, The Pitt, actress, won an Emmy for her role in the show, while the series won a Golden Globe Award in 2026. Katherine was cheered on the loudest on her win by her husband, Grant Show, as she gave her acceptance speech. Audiences have often praised Katherine for her remarkable performances in various movies and shows, and kept tabs on her personal journey as well.

Grant Show's early life and education

Grant Show was born on February 27, 1962, in Detroit, Michigan, to father, Kathleen Show, who was a police sheriff. Grant has one younger sister named Kelly Show, and both siblings were raised in Milpitas, California. Grant completed his graduation from the University of California and was a part of the Alpha Tau Omega Club. He is an American film and television actor who started his acting career and stepped into the showbiz in his early school days. Grant moved to New York, a move that shaped his acting skills under the mentorship of Richard Lawson, Steve Railsback and others.

Grant Show's early works and career in American film and TV

From 1984 to 1987, Grant performed for the first time in Ryan’s Hope stage adaptation, where he played the lead character of 'Rick Hyde'. Grant’s performance in the stage drama earned him a nomination for the Daytime Emmy Award in the Outstanding Young Actor Category. During the 1990s, Grant stood out amongst the most prominent and famous actors in the American TV industry. Owning everything to his first casting as 'Rick Hyde', he said:

“Give me something and I can give it right back. Three years on a soap, you realize what they want you to do, and you learn how to do it."

Show made his big-screen debut in the 1992 drama, A Woman, Her Men, and Her Futon. He didn't act much on the big screen over the ensuing years, becoming more prolific in the 21st century. In 2007, Show was in the psychological thriller, The Girl Next Door, based on Jack Ketchum's novel of the same name.

In 2002, Grant appeared as a guest in the HBO TV drama serial, Six Feet Under and later appeared in a guest appearance on the ABC teen series Beautiful People, along with Daphne Zuniga in 2006. In 2008, he was featured as an airline pilot, 'Tom Decker', in the CBS summer show arrangement Swingtown. Grant starred alongside Kyra Sedgwick and Jeffrey Dean Morgan in the picture The Possession, directed by Ole Bornedal in 2012. In 2013, Grant starred as 'Spence Westmore' in Devious Maids.

Grant Show is most known for his role in the Melrose Place TV show, portraying 'Jake Hanson'. Grant brought 'Jake Hanson' to life in three different formats of the franchise, namely, Melrose Place, Beverly Hills, 90210 and Models Inc. From 2017 to 2022, Grant starred as 'Blake Carrington' for five seasons on The CW reboot of Dynasty, along with Aaron Spelling, who also produced the series.

Grant Show and Katherine LaNasa's first meeting and subsequent marriage

Katherine and Grant met on the sets of Big Love in 2006. Grant dated his Ryan’s Hope co-star, Yasmeen Bleeth, and later married his first wife, Scottish actress Pollyanna McIntosh, in 2004. Grants’ character replaced Katherine’s character in the series, and so the duo never spent that much time together. Explaining to Redbook in July 2013, Grant said:

 "About eight months later, I was in Vancouver working on a movie, and she was working on a pilot up there, too."

Grant and LaNasa started hanging out with a mutual friend, but since both were involved with other partners at the time, they did not pursue each other. It was only when Grant returned to L.A. that he asked Katherine out for a date and became a real couple. Grant and Katherine announced their engagement in July 2012. Commenting on their engagement, Grant told People: 

"Katherine is very excited and already working on plans for the wedding that will happen later this year,"

Katherine and Grant married on August 18, 2012, at The Oak Grove at Ribbit Tree & Plant Nursery in Topanga Calif. In August 2025, Katherine posted a touching tribute on Instagram to show their immense love on their wedding anniversary. She captioned the post with the words “Great year baby”, “Love you to pieces. Happy 13”.

Katherine and Grant share a daughter and make time for each other

On March 25, 2014, the couple welcomed their daughter, Eloise McCue Show, and, according to Grant’s 2017 interview with Soap Opera Digest, she was born in Atlanta. Katherine also has a son, Henry, with her first husband, Hopper. Occupied with their busy schedules, Katherine and Grant make sure to get together every 10 days. Either of the two flies out to meet the other and spend some quality time.

In 2025, Katherine gave Grant and her kids a huge shoutout in her acceptance speech at the Emmys. In 2016, Katherine and Grant bought a home in Marina Del Rey, which they proceeded to tear down. They built a 2,700-square-foot home on the lot before selling the property in May 2019 for USD 2.4 million. Grant's net worth is estimated to be a whopping USD 10 million.
