According to Redditors, former journalist Mrs Tuchel moved to Britain in August, seven months after Tuchel, 48, joined Chelsea from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in France. His wife Sissi began divorce proceedings, with friends saying that 'all avenues are exhausted' when it comes to hopes of a reconciliation. Sources also said the couple was determined to keep the divorce amicable. Sissi reportedly had helped Thomas during a managerial career that has seen him win a clutch of trophies in Germany, France and England. Reportedly, he had paid USD 7 million annually and faced a multi-million-pound divorce settlement.
A user noted, "It makes sense in the situation, seeing as she essentially sacrificed her career, allowing/supporting Tuchel's career in moving around from city to city. The key difference is how they are applied. From what I understand, alimony in America is a legal requirement after a divorce and is pretty much guaranteed. Whereas in the UK there is no legal requirement for it unless it is negotiated as part of the divorce proceedings. Also, it can only be applied for in cases where the earnings of both parties are vastly different."
