During his recent appearance on the Soapy podcast, the actor opened up about how the soap opera veteran Heather Tom is the “greatest blessing of his professional life.” For those unaware, it was Tom who urged producers to cast him in The Bold & the Beautiful after he was suddenly fired from Y&R.
Don gushed about how he considered it a huge gift, while calling her the best person ever. Amid talk of his professional life, many have become curious about Don’s personal life, especially his wife, Cindy Ambuehl.

According to reports, Don Diamont's wife, Cindy Ambuehl, is a former actress. She spent most of the ‘90s acting in a number of TV and movie roles. Some of the most well-known shows that she has appeared in include Frasier, Wings, Seinfeld, and Men Behaving Badly. She was seen as a recurring character on the legal drama JAG.
Cindy has also appeared in 14 episodes of The Bold & The Beautiful as ‘Kim Swanson.’ One of her final acting roles came in 2010 when she starred in the Disney Channel sitcom Jonas.
After she left acting, Cindy went on to find success as a real estate agent. In 2020, her website boasted that she had closed several multi-million-dollar deals. Additionally, as of 2023, Cindy ranked No. 40 in the country in terms of sales volume.
However, it is worth noting that Cindy first met her now-husband, Don Diamont, when she was still working as an actress. The duo crossed paths when Cindy auditioned to be on The Young & the Restless in the mid-90s. She was trying out for the role of ‘Ashley Abbott’ but ended up losing the part. At the time, Don was playing the role of ‘Brad Carlton’ on the show.
While the duo hit it off, Don and Cindy’s love story did not start until 10 years later. This is because, in 1994, the actor was married to his first wife, Rachel Braun. During their marriage, the former couple welcomed two sons, Alexander and Luca. Don was also raising Rachel's sons, Sasha and Lauren, from her first marriage, and his late sister, Bette’s son.
Don had previously admitted that it was crucial for him that his children understood that he wasn't leaving their mother or them. He said that he would always be there for them just as he always had.

It was after a nine-year engagement that Don Diamont and Cindy Ambuehl tied the knot in Eze, France, in 2012. While speaking about their wedding day, the actor claimed that it was “perfect” since they had waited for so long to get married and his sons were also older. He said, “It was very much like we all got married. It was very emotional for everyone.”
Don also gushed about Cindy, especially about her sense of humor. He confessed that she is someone who can bring tears to his eyes after making him laugh so much. Not only that, but Don also raved about his wife being an amazing mom, saying:
“She often brings me to tears, and I beg her to stop because I am laughing so hard that I am doubling over in pain. And on top of that, she is gorgeous, brilliant, a hard worker, and an amazing mom.”
Since their marriage, Don and Cindy have created a big blended family. They also welcomed two twin boys, Anton and Davis, during their relationship, who are all grown up now. The twins celebrated their 20th birthday in January 2023, and Don wished them on Instagram and wrote:
“Your teens are in the rearview! So proud of you guys, and excited to see what your 20s hold for you! Go get it! Love you.”
