Carlos Boozer and his family is currently under the spotlight due to his twin sons, Cameron and Cayden Boozer's March 30 (ET) match against UConn. They just concluded their freshman season at the Duke Blue Devils men's basketball team after a heartbreaking 77-76 loss to UConn in the Elite Eight on March 29, 2026. Carlos, who is currently a scout for the Utah Jazz front office, has frequently been seen at Duke games this season to support his Cameron and Cayden. Their mother and Carlos' ex-wife, CeCe also often publicly expresses her pride in her sons. Here's all about the supportive family and their enduring bond.

CeCe Boozer is an entrepreneur and former sportsperson who is best known as the mother of Duke Blue Devils basketball stars, Cameron and Cayden Boozer, and the ex-wife of NBA legend Carlos Boozer. Before being the mom of competitive athletes, she was one herself. CeCe played college volleyball at the Division I level. As for her current profession, she is in business. CeCe founded an assisted living facility to care for her mother and has since expanded her business to include smaller homes focused on helping people with disabilities.
Carlos Boozer and CeCe Boozer (born as Cindy Nichole Blackwell) first met as college students. At that time, CeCe noticed Carlos at a bookstore while he was an incoming 17-year-old freshman at Duke University, and she was a 20-year-old senior. She liked him the moment she laid her eyes on him and wanted to get to know him. Taking the initiative, she tracked him down in the student directory and asked him to dinner. The duo started to date soon after.

After a few years of dating, Carlos and CeCe got married on August 10, 2002, in Durham, North Carolina. During their marriage, they welcomed three sons, Carmani and fraternal twins Cameron and Cayden. The former couple remained married for 13 years before their separation was finalised in 2015. While the initial divorce filing occurred in 2009, citing an "irretrievably broken" marriage, they briefly reconciled before completing the split. Despite their divorce, Carlos and CeCe maintain a cordial co-parenting relationship, frequently appearing together to support their twin sons, Cameron and Cayden, in their basketball games.

Carmani Boozer, the eldest son of former NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer and his ex-wife CeCe, was born on May 31, 2006, making him 19 years old as of March 2025. He was diagnosed with sickle cell anaemia right after his birth. It led to a medical journey that gained media attention. Carmani was eventually cured through a rare procedure involving his twin brothers, Cameron and Cayden Boozer.
Carmani Boozer's sickle cell disease was considered incurable back in 2006. After researching treatment options, his mother, CeCe Boozer, discovered that a transplant using stem cells from a genetically matched sibling offered the best chance for a cure. Because both CeCe and Carlos carried the sickle cell trait, they used in vitro fertilisation (IVF) to ensure their next children would be disease-free and a perfect genetic match for Carmani. Reportedly, out of 10 sickle-cell-free embryos, only two were a perfect match. These two embryos became the fraternal twins, Cameron and Cayden Boozer.
Carmani's twin brothers were born on July 18, 2007 and are a year younger than him. Immediately upon Cameron and Cayden's birth, doctors harvested stem cells from their umbilical cords. Then Carmani underwent chemotherapy to prepare his body, and the stem cells were transplanted into him. The procedure required a 40-day hospital stay. After about a year of the procedure, Carmani was officially declared cured of the disease in May 2008. As of March 2026, all three siblings are healthy and pursuing careers in sports.

Carmani Boozer currently attends the University of Fort Lauderdale, where he plays baseball as a pitcher. Besides baseball, he is known to occasionally join his father, Carlos Boozer on the golf course. Carmani maintains a close bond with his younger brothers, Cameron and Cayden, whom he credits for saving his life. While Carmani is a baseball player, the twin Boozers are star basketball players for the Duke Blue Devils. The duo is a key contributor for Duke in the 2025–26 season, helping the team achieve a No. 1 national ranking.
Cameron, who plays as a forward, was recently named ACC Player of the Year and ACC Rookie of the Year in March 2026. He was also a first-team All-ACC selection and is a favourite for the National Player of the Year title. His twin, Cayden, has stepped into a starting point guard role late in the season due to an injury to Caleb Foster. Cayden also has impressive stats like Cameron and is looking like a strong prospect in the field.
