According to reports, Bridget Fonda’s husband, Danny Elfman, is a Los Angeles native. From a very young age, he grew up loving music, especially film scores. His official bio suggests that his extensive travelling in his younger days not only influenced his musical taste but also his appreciation for the art in itself.
Danny rose to fame in the ‘80s as a member of the popular New Wave band Oingo Boingo. The band was notably behind the hit song, Weird Science, which also appeared in a film of the same name. After spending years with the band, Danny Elfman left it in 1995 to put his focus on film scoring.
Danny Elfman is also known for his work with several renowned directors, including Tim Burton. Together, the duo has reportedly collaborated on over 20 projects such as Edward Scissorhands, Batman Returns, Corpse Bride, and the Netflix series, Wednesday. Speaking about his partnership with Tim, Danny once said:
“It was really just Tim and I...kinda like two kids in the kindergarten class and the teacher leaves, and they’re just running their own class with no adult supervision. I didn’t understand until later what a luxury that was.”
This just goes to show the impressive resume that Danny Elfman boasts. Still, many will be surprised to know that he is the man behind one of the most iconic television theme songs, The Simpsons. He is also the person who wrote the theme song for ABC’s Desperate Housewives.
Over the years, Danny Elfman has earned several awards for his work. He won the Grammy for best instrumental composition for the Batman theme in 1990. His first Emmy came in 2005 for the outstanding main title theme music for Desperate Housewives. He has also been nominated for the Academy Awards a number of times.
Coming to Danny’s relationship with Bridget Fonda, the pair met for the first time on the set of the 1998 movie, A Simple Plan. While Bridget starred in the film, Danny made its score. After their relationship developed, they tied the knot on November 29, 2003, in a candlelight ceremony in Los Angeles.
According to reports, Bridget walked down the aisle with her father, Peter, to the sounds of a 20-person choir. Danny and Bridget embraced parenthood when they welcomed their only child, a son named Oliver, in 2005. It was after Oliver was born that the actress decided to take a break from acting to raise her son.

Bridget, who is 62 years old, has been living a private life since she retired from Hollywood over two decades ago. In her recent rare appearance in Los Angeles, paparazzi shots show her leaving a restaurant in the city. Her assistant also accompanied her during the outing, and the two grabbed lunch and left.
Bridget’s photos, which are now doing the rounds on the internet, got fans talking as she wore a casual striped tank top and black pants, a stark contrast to her glam looks that everyone was used to seeing in the ‘90s. For those wondering if Bridget has any plans to make a comeback, the actress had made it clear during one of her previous appearances, where she said that it was “too nice being a civilian.”
