Adam Thomas and Caroline Daly first met in 2007 when they were teenagers. At the time, Adam was 19 and appeared on the TV series, Waterloo Road. After dating for many years, the couple tied the knot in August 2017. Caroline Daly became his pillar of strength when Adam Thomas was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis

In 2023, Adam Thomas was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Adam needs regular injections and battles rheumatoid arthritis. In July 2025, Adam shared a picture showing him injecting himself in the thigh and wrote that he had lost hope. However, it was Caroline who stood by his side and became his pillar of strength. In February 2026, Adam took to his Instagram handle and shared two snaps showing Caroline injecting his thigh with medication.

Along with the snaps, Adam penned an emotional note. In the note, he gave a special shoutout to Caroline and called her "best mother", "best wife", and "best friend". Adam mentioned that he loved growing older with Caroline. He recounted their memories together and highlighted how Caroline stayed by his side during this tough phase.
