Jennette McCurdy is one of the most iconic actors we watched while growing up. She made her debut at the age of 8 in 2000 on the adult comedy sketch show, Mad TV. She rose to fame with her roles in Nickelodeon's iCarly and Sam & Cat, starring alongside Ariana Grande in the latter one. Following this, she also appeared in a number of television series such as Malcolm in the Middle, Zoey 101, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Law and Order SVU, and more.
After spending years in the industry, Jennette McCurdy transitioned into a successful author and podcaster. Recently, during a January 7, 2026, appearance on Call Her Daddy, she reflected on an extremely toxic past relationship. Apparently, Jennette was only a teenager, “most likely 18” when she dated the unnamed man in his 30s whom she met at work. She described how “exhausting” their relationship was due to their huge age gap. To mention, while we do not know who this mystery man is, there are quite a few recognisable names that she has dated, rumoured, or otherwise. If you are interested in knowing more about Jennette McCurdy's past relationships, keep on reading!

If rumours are to be believed, Jennette McCurdy and Graham Patrick Martin dated many years back in September 2004. You might recognise him from the show, Two and a Half Men, where he famously played the role of ‘Eldridge’. According to reports, the duo was in their teenage years when they first started dating. Although it is unclear how long Graham and the former actress dated, they were speculated to have been together for four years before going their separate ways after 2008. Interestingly, Jennette's alleged ex-boyfriend, Graham, also appeared on her Nickelodeon show, iCarly, in 2009. While sources have described their romance as a typical youthful fling, it is important to note that neither Jennette nor Graham publicly acknowledged the rumours.

It was while Jennette McCurdy was starring on the show, Zoey 101 that she briefly dated her co-star, Paul Butcher. According to reports, the duo had known each other since they were in school. They went on to date for one year, from June 2005 to March 2006. It is not surprising that their relationship ended quickly because, at the time, Jennette was growing very popular on Nickelodeon, not to mention that both of them were teens. Both Jennette and Paul ended things amicably and eventually went on to pursue separate careers. Some years later, Paul went on to talk about the working environment at Nickelodeon, which was pretty similar to what Jennette wrote in her memoir, I'm Glad My Mom Died.

Jennette McCurdy's relationship with an iCarly script manager, Paul Glaser, was highly controversial to say the least. This is because when they started dating, Jennette was only 18 years old, while Paul Glaser was in his 30s. This is one of the relationships that the author detailed in her memoir, I'm Glad My Mom Died, as an emotionally complex relationship owing to their significant age gap and power imbalance. She also described this relationship as “addictive”, always reminding her of how vulnerable she was at the time. It is worth mentioning that although Jennette, in her recent episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, did not name the person with whom she was in a toxic relationship while she was younger, all the things she said, especially their ages at the time, point to her talking about Paul Glaser. If this is true, her relationship with Paul also takes centre stage in her upcoming book, Half His Age.

In 2010, Jennette McCurdy was linked to The Young and the Restless star, Max Ehrich. According to reports, they were introduced to each other by their mutual friends in the industry. The rumoured couple never officially confirmed their relationship, and it also appears that the two were together for only a short period of time.

While Jennette McCurdy usually tried to keep her romantic relationships out of the spotlight, this was not the case when she started dating NBA player, Andre Drummond. It was in 2013 when their relationship began via X (formerly Twitter) flirtations. This was the former Nickelodeon star's shortest-lived romance, as it lasted for merely a week. Jennette later discussed how the relationship left her feeling awkward. She also detailed the media scrutiny she faced as a result.
In 2015, Jennette McCurdy started dating a Canadian actor called Jesse Carere. Reportedly, he was her co-star on the Netflix series, Between, which was released on May 21 of the same year. They successfully translated their on-screen chemistry into real life and went on to date for about a year. If reports are to be believed, they broke up around the time Jennette took a step back from her acting career. For the unversed, Jennette's intention in doing so was to focus more on her writing and recovery.
