Whitney Fransway and Kenny Martin first crossed paths two years ago, in 2024. Just a year ago, Whitney decided to move from Los Angeles to New York City to be with Kenny, which we saw on the Summer House spinoff, In the City. In the first season of the reality show, Whitney and Kenny’s relationship was in the forefront as the latter could be seen grieving the death of his mother while simultaneously trying to take the next step with the love of his life. Kenny admitted that Whitney acted as a huge support system for him at that time. He said:
“It was actually somewhat challenging in the beginning of our relationship, navigating grief from the loss of my mother while also taking next steps in my relationship with Whitney. There was a numbness there, and I don’t think people can fully understand real grief until they experience it firsthand, but Whitney was unbelievably supportive through that process.”
Kenny also said that over time, both he and Whitney have grown together a lot. He believes that their love keeps getting stronger and grounded every day.
It is worth mentioning that apart from their reality show, Kenny and Whitney keep their fans updated on their relationship via social media. In a video that the duo posted, they could be seen sitting down and chatting about their relationship timeline. They discussed when they would ideally want to have kids and agreed that it's hard not to think about a topic like this considering their bond and how they hang out with their family and Whitney’s adorable niece.
Kenny said that seeing his now-fiancée with her niece gave him “the fever,” but they were fine with taking things one step at a time. And the couple is doing exactly that, starting by getting engaged!

Whitney said that she was in complete shock, but the proposal made her feel truly “seen and supported” by him. Kenny, on the other hand, confessed that he was super nervous despite having planned everything to a T.
Before he decided to get down on one knee, Kenny secretly took a flight to Florida to get Whitney’s parents' blessings. He said, “It felt scandalous, but I'm so glad I did that in person. We were all crying.”
Coming to Kenny's choice of location for proposing to Whitney, he decided to choose the luxury cliffside hotel, as they had already been there last summer for the latter's birthday and she loved it. When they celebrated with the private dinner at the hotel, Whitney called it the “most romantic date.” This is why it became the perfect spot to begin the next chapter of their relationship. Kenny Martin said:
“I wanted to go back to that special place, but added flowers and candles and a violinist to really just make it magical for her. She deserved something so perfect.”
Whitney revealed that it took her a moment to process what was even happening. She called the proposal “straight out of a storybook” and said that she's still pinching herself.
