In fact, he worked hard to hide the physical symptoms of Parkinson's while filming for his projects.
As his disease progressed, it became difficult for Michael to memorize lines and meet the physical demands of acting. Therefore, in 2020, he announced that he was stepping away from acting. The actor explained the same in his memoir No Time Like the Future. Michael mentioned that the challenges of Parkinson's had reached a point where he could not practically continue to work every day.
Although many people believed that Michael retired for good, he recently clarified that he is not officially retired. Instead, he said that he would happily continue acting if the right opportunity came along. But he will do it on one condition that his health allows it. In his words, "If I didn't act again, it would be for a very good reason."

Michael J. Fox was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He rose to fame in the 1980s after playing the role of 'Alex P. Keaton' in the hit sitcom Family Ties. In fact, his performance earned multiple Primetime Emmy Awards and quickly made him one of TV's biggest stars.
The actor's career reached a new level in 1985 when he played 'Marty McFly' in Back to the Future. The blockbuster became one of the most successful films of its generation and turned Michael into a global star. Later, he reprised the same role in two films.
