For those unaware, it has been nearly 50 years since the show began, with Steve taking over hosting duties in 2010. As Family Feud soon begins celebrating its 50th anniversary, Steve Harvey is once again going to return to entertain us all. Ahead of this, however, Steve’s statement addressing his wife, Marjorie Harvey’s cheating rumours has surfaced.
What did Steve Harvey say about his wife, Marjorie Harvey's cheating rumours?
The allegations of Marjorie Harvey cheating on Steve surfaced on X (formerly Twitter) in August 2023. While it seemed like there was no truth to the cheating rumours, it eventually grabbed the attention of social media users who picked up the rumour for comedic purposes. Addressing the rumours a week later during his appearance at Invest Fest 2023 in Atlanta, Steve said:
“Before I get started, just let me say, I'm fine. Marriage is fine. I don't know what y'all are doin’, but find something else to do cause we fine, Lord have mercy.”
Later that night, Steve's wife, Marjorie also broke her silence on the cheating allegations. She posted an article title that read, “How to handle being lied about.” This also included a Bible verse about “hurled insults.” In the caption, Marjorie wrote that neither she nor Steve normally addresses rumours like these. However, this time it was her responsibility to address the allegations. She shared:
“My husband and I don’t usually stop to address all the foolishness and lies that have been spread about us. However, to whom much is given, much is required. I understand that with my platform comes some sort of responsibility to those that may not be as strong as we are. Read and share this with your loved ones that may not know how to properly cope. God Bless all of you.”
For those unaware, Steve Harvey and Marjorie tied the knot in 2007. After the couple's marriage, they decided to blend their families, which now includes seven children, Brandi, Karli, Briderick, Wyton, Morgan, Jason, and Lori, and their grandchildren. During a 2012 interview, Steve admitted that his wife changed the way he existed.
Before getting with her, he had never been in a healthy adult relationship; he had never been loyal, and he had never been fully respected. To this, Marjorie claimed she and Steve were best friends, and it was the first time they could talk to someone about everything.
Steve Harvey returns for Family Feud’s 50th anniversary
For over half a century, Family Feud has brought families together for laughs and unforgettable moments. The show will reportedly begin celebrating its 50th anniversary on September 28, 2026, with Steve resuming his hosting duties.
The show originally premiered in July 1967 and soon became one of the highest-rated game shows on television. Even today, the show remains a powerhouse in syndication, having averaged 7.5 million daily viewers during the 2025-2026 season. Talking about its upcoming 50th anniversary, Jennifer Mullion, CEO of Fremantle, said:
