Sridevi was one of the most loved and well-acclaimed actresses of her generation. She had worldwide popularity. Coming to her personal life, she tied the knot with the love of her life, Boney Kapoor in a secret temple wedding in 1996, despite he being already married to his first wife, Mona Shourie. At that time, Sridevi was already pregnant with their first child, Janhvi. Later, the couple was blessed with their younger daughter, Khushi, in 2000. However, Sridevi and Boney's togetherness was short-lived, and she passed away untimely in 2018, leaving a huge void in his life. Now, we stumbled upon an old interview of Sridevi as she recalled when she felt Boney's deep concern for her.
In a 2011 interview with AsiaSpa magazine, Sridevi opened up about various bits and pieces from her professional and personal life. For the unversed, she started her acting career at the mere age of 4. Talking about the same, Sridevi revealed, "I got spotted by a lyricist, Late Sri Kanadasan, who asked Chinapadevar to cast me as Bala Murga (Lord Murga) – and that’s how my journey began." Afterwards, she also mentioned that, according to her, the most challenging role she had done till that day was in the superhit movie, Sadma. Although, Sridevi's wish remained unfulfilled in this life. However, when asked about her dream role, she was quoted as saying:
"Whitney Houston in Body Guard."

In the same conversation, Sridevi was asked about her life's most precious memory and cherished experience. To this, she recalled an incident when she felt her husband, Boney's deep concern for her. The legendary actress recalled that the incident had happened during the first Mumbai bomb blast in March 1993, and she was staying at the Sea Rock Hotel in Mumbai. At that time, Boney rushed to the hotel as soon as he heard about Sridevi's stay over there. Sridevi had said:
"Amongst the several cherished moments that I have spent with my husband, I especially remember this one incident where I felt his deep concern for me. It was on the day of the first Mumbai bomb blast, when I was staying at the Sea Rock Hotel in Mumbai. When he got to know of the blast, he rushed to the hotel and got to know that I was shooting at the Natraj Studios."
And until Boney could ensure that Sridevi was fine, there was no sign of relief on his face. Afterwards, he insisted that she should be shifted to his home. And finally, he breathed relief when Sridevi and her aunt shifted to Boney's house. She added:
"He then rushed there and on seeing me fine, the relief on his face was evident. He immediately insisted upon me moving into his house. I was touched, later shocked and naturally reluctant. After several efforts of persistence from his side, he convinced my mother and made sure that I shifted to his house with my aunt, who used to accompany me for all my shoots."

Sridevi made one last appearance in the film, Mom, which was released in 2017. Sridevi's millions of fans hugely loved the film, and posthumously, she was conferred the IIFA Award for Best Actress in 2018. It was indeed a heart-touching moment for the late actress’ husband, Boney Kapoor. Thus, when he walked up the stage and received the award on her behalf, he completely broke down in tears. At that moment, he was consoled by his son, Arjun Kapoor. After that, in a voice choked with emotions, Boney was heard saying:
“I miss her every moment of my life.”
