However, the linkups ended after Shahid Kapoor's married Mira Rajput, who has no Bollywood background, but has made her own identity as a social media influencer. The couple has been enjoying their parenthood journey with the arrival of their kids, Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor.

In 2011, Shahid Kapoor had appeared in Simi Garewal's India's Most Desirable show, and during one of the segments, the actor had opened up about how many times he had fallen in love. When he was asked about his love life, Shahid had replied:
"That's a difficult question, I can't answer that. That's a dangerous question to ask a guy. Everytime I met a girl, I fell in love, whether I was 3 years old. It is true love."
In the same talk show, Simi had reminded the actor this one time when he had confessed that he had fallen in love twice. To this, the actor had said:
"No, no, more than that. Much more than that, much much more than that."

Simi had even asked Shahid about 'serious grown-up love'. The actor didn't understand the meaning of this and had shared:
"That hasn't happened yet. I don't think I have grown up very much. Serious grown up love, what is that?"
To this, Simi had explained the meaning of serious grown-up love is when two mature people fall in love. Hearing this, Shahid Kapoor had promptly replied:
"No, that hasn't happened to me yet. One of us have always been immature. I don't have that because that would be for keeps."
Well, that serious grown-up love has definitely happened to Shahid, and thus he is happily married to Mira Rajput Kapoor with two wonderful kids!
