Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan had welcomed their princess, Suhana Khan on May 22, 2000, and since then, their beautiful girl has been ruling not only her star parents’ world but the hearts of their fans too. With her infectious smile and incredibly good looks, we can’t wait for Suhana to start her ‘suhana safar’ in the industry, carry her father’s legacy and become the Begum of Bollywood. Suhana has been gearing up for her career in Bollywood and is completing her studies before she makes her debut.
In 2018, Shah Rukh Khan had completed 26 years in the industry and to mark the special occasion, he had posted a video comprising of what he has learnt over the years. One of the prominent milestones he had achieved in his journey is of fatherhood, not once, not twice but thrice. Shah Rukh had relived the birth of his 'Sugar, Spice And Everything Nice' trio, Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan and AbRam Khan. Reminiscing Suhana’s birth and how the millennium brought two babies to him, Shah Rukh had said, "The new millennium brought in two new babies. One was a pretty girl we named Suhana lovingly. "Pleasantness", love, happiness. The second was Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani. This year taught me the importance of risk-taking and obviously, the beauty of fatherhood all over again."
Recalling the year 1997, Shah Rukh Khan had begun with how he used to tell his elder son, Aryan Khan that he was delivered by a stork, "In 1997, apart from being blessed with your love, a stork had delivered my first baby, Aryan. And I still tell him that he was delivered by a stork though he is old enough to know how babies are made, or at least I hope so." Fast forward to 2013, Shah Rukh had reminisced, "2013 made me shake off the sadness, play a mithaiwala and "get on the train, baby". Speaking of which, I was visited by the stork again, with my beautiful little angel, little AbRam. The next Happy New Year made some people laugh and very many cry, but as long as my 'Dilwala' AbRam giggled at his father's shenanigans, I decided to shut off the negativity (and believe you me, there was lots and lots of negativity)." Shah Rukh Khan had often spoken about his daughter, Suhana Khan’s wish to become an actress and how he is supportive of whatever his kids choose as their career. Revealing the condition that he wants his kids to fulfil before opting for a film career, Shah Rukh had stated to the DNA, "Suhana wants to be an actress. I see that zeal in her. She's extremely good on stage, I've seen her performances. But my point is simple — you need to complete your education before doing anything. That's the only thing I have told my children. Otherwise, they are free to be in the film industry, not be in it and do whatever they like. I will be supportive of whatever they want to do."
Shah Rukh Khan, being quite a liberal dad had once, spoken about Suhana Khan and acting. In an interview with the DNA, he had shared, “I’d like her (Suhana) to be on the cover of magazines like all my heroines are, wear any kind of clothes she wants to wear, and look sexy and beautiful. I want her to feel attractive, beautiful and respected, and more importantly, I want her to work hard. I have only one mandate where she’s concerned: she can act, but she has to study first.”
In a 2018 interview with the Vogue, Suhana Khan had spoken about embracing fame since childhood. She had stated, “I realised quite early on that it was different for us. But I never really thought about my dad being famous. When I was about five, he would come and drop me to school, and people would point and stare. He wasn’t being addressed as Suhana’s dad, which is what I wanted. It confused me. He would want to hug me, and I would push him back in the car.
