One of the most talented people of his generation, Satish Kaushik is indeed a pearl in the Indian film industry. From acting in so many iconic films and leaving the audience in splits to directing some timeless films as a filmmaker, Satish is exceptionally impressive both in front and back of the camera. Some of the most iconic films in which he has worked are Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Woh 7 Din, Masoom, Mandi, Mr India, Ram Lakhan, Swarg, Saajan Chale Sasural, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Aunty No. 1, Soorma, Chhalaang, Kaagaz, Sharmaji Namkeen, and many more.
Apart from acting in many famous films, Satish Kaushik also gave so many hit films to Indian cinema like Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain, Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai, Badhaai Ho Badhaai, Tere Naam, Dhol, Kaagaz, and many more. However, it was in September 2022 when Satish Kaushik broke the headlines after it was revealed that he was going to portray the character of the late politician, Babu Jagjivan Ram in Kangana Ranaut's film, Emergency. For the unversed, Jagjivan Ram served as the defence minister during the 1971 war that laid the foundation of Bangladesh.

When Satish Kaushik appeared on the popular comedy reality show, The Kapil Sharma Show, with his best friend and veteran actor, Anupam Kher, it turned out to be one of the best episodes ever. From recalling the tales of his NSD (National School of Drama) days with Anupam Kher to opening up about their journey, it was an episode filled with tons of secrets and rare confessions. One such confession that Satish Kaushik made on the show was about having a crush on Archana Puran Singh. Yes! You read it right. When the veteran filmmaker entered the show, he received lots of flying kisses from Archana, and that was when he opened up about having a crush on her back in the time when she was unmarried. He had said:
"Kapil ye mera 34th crush thi. Agar Parmeet eski life mein na hota na. Toh ye jo crush (referring to himself) haina, crusher banjata eske upar."
The moment Satish Kaushik made this confession, Archana Puran Singh showered a lot of praise on him and also titled him as 'one of the best friends in the world'. The show's judge also added that Satish is incredibly generous, and it's rare to find a person like him. Receiving all these lovely compliments from his 34th crush, Satish immediately recalled the moment when he had fallen in love with her. The veteran filmmaker had revealed that when he was in Dubai to promote his film, Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, some people harassed Archana, and she came to him for help. He had recalled:
"Mereko esse (Archana Puran Singh) pyar pata hai kaisey hogaya tha. Actually Dubai mein hum show karne gaye the. Hindustan ki sabse disaster movie, Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja banayi thi. Hum usko promote karne ke leye gaye the Dubai mein. Aur ye Archana jo hain, suddenly main backstage tha aur show ki taiyari chal rahi thi. Aur bhagti hui aayi, aur rooti hui. Maine pucha kya hua Archana. Esne kaha Satish mere saath Satish. Main na bus mein aari thi, aur kuch ladko ne mere saath jabrdasti ki."

After which, Satish Kaushik had recalled the entire incident and revealed the moment when Archana Puran Singh had hugged him, and he had developed an instant crush on her. The filmmaker revealed that he had stopped the entire show in order to punish the unknown boys, who had harassed Archana, and resumed it once all of them had pleaded for forgiveness from her. While recalling the incident, Satish Kaushik admitted that when Archana told him that some men harassed her, he knew that this was his chance to impress her and to show how much he liked and cared for her. Revealing the same, he had said:
"Maine kaha kya baat kar rahi hai tu. Muje laga ye mauka hain esko impress karne ka. Abhi hero jo andar hain mere, vo bahar nikal raha tha. Maine kaha hua, hua kya ye toh bata. Kehne lagi kuch ladko ne ese kiya. Maine kaha theek hain. Maine organiser ko bulaya. Maine unhe bola ki ye meri Archana hain eske saath esa hua hain, agar vo ladke 5 minute ke andar yaha nahin aaye. Toh aapka ye show ho nahi payega Dubai ke andar. Aur vo bade powerful log the. Aur jab ye aayi, aur humne un 5 logo ko dhunda, esne unko pechana aur vo aake eske pairo pe pade, aur unhone sorry bola. For the unversed, Satish Kaushik is married to Shashi Kaushik, and together they are blessed with a daughter, Vanshika, who was born through a surrogate mother.
