Dhamendra and Hema Malini's daughter, Esha Deol is a sweetheart, who always prioritises her family above everything else. She shares an amicable bond with her stepbrothers, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, despite the rumours about their alleged family feud. Earlier, it was claimed that Hema’s side of the family was not allowed to enter Dharmendra’s house, where his first wife, Prakash Kaur, lived. However, once, Sunny Deol made it possible for Esha Deol to meet Dharmendra’s first wife, Prakash Kaur.
In Hema Malini's biography, Hema Malini: Beyond the Dream Girl, Esha Deol talked about how she became the first member of Hema Malini’s family to enter Dharmendra’s house. Sharing the details, Esha revealed that she was extremely close with Dharmendra’s brother, Ajeet Deol, who is also Abhay Deol’s father. However, as Ajeet fell ill in 2015, Esha wanted to meet him and check on him, but he was being treated at Dharmendra’s house. Recalling how Sunny Deol helped her, Esha said:
“I wanted to meet my uncle and pay my respects. He loved me and Ahana very much and we were also very close to Abhay. We had no other way than to go to his house. He was not even in the hospital that we would meet him there. So I called Sunny Bhaiya and they made full arrangements to meet him.”

When Sunny Deol arranged Esha Deol's meeting with Ajeet at Dharmendra’s family home, Esha ran into her stepmother, Prakash Kaur. Recalling her first interaction with Prakash Kaur, she said that they had a short meeting as the former left her after blessing her. Esha was quoted saying:
“I touched her feet and she left me after blessing me.”
Veteran actor, Dharmendra got married twice in his life. His first wedding was with Prakash Kaur, with whom he had four children, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Vijeta and Ajeita. Later, Dharmendra got married for the second time when he tied the knot with Hema Malini in 1980 without divorcing his first wife, Prakash. The duo is blessed with two daughters, Esha and Ahana. However, Dharmendra’s second wedding with Hema was an unconventional one, and it became a hot topic of discussion in the media for the longest time.

Dharmendra and Hema Malini's love affair was all over the news, and they broke many stereotypes as they tied the knot in an unconventional wedding. However, the duo always tried to keep their married life private and away from the media glare. In her biography, Hema Malini: The Dream Girl, Hema revealed that she never met Dharmendra's first wife, Prakash Kaur after their wedding, as she didn't want to disturb the latter. She had written:
"I didn’t want to disturb anyone. I am happy with whatever Dharamji did for me and my daughters. He played the role of a father, like any father would do. I guess I am happy with that.”
On the personal front, Esha Deol is happily married to her husband, Bharat Takhtani.
