The much-awaited and anticipated crime drama, Deadloch is all set to return with its second season. For the unversed, the first season was released in 2023, and it grabbed a lot of attention because of its unique and spine-chilling narrative. Now that the show is gearing up for its OTT release, read on to know more details about the cast and plot.

Deadloch Season 2 to release on OTT soon

The much-awaited season of Deadloch is all set to release on the OTT giant, Amazon Prime Video from March 20, 2026, onwards. If reports are to be believed, the show includes six episodes and all of them will be released at the same time. Talking about the cast of the show, it includes Kate Box, Madeleine Sami, Nina Oyama, Alicia Gardiner, Luke Hemsworth, Steve Bisley, Shari Sebbens, Byron Coll and more.

The plotline of Deadloch Season 2

To give a small recap of the show, Deadloch Season 1, it was set in a small coastal town called Deadloch. For those who missed it, the story follows a dead body of a local man that is found on a beach. Eventually, multiple strange clues start to appear, which hint at a serial murder case. Later, the show features two detectives, 'Dulcie Collins' and 'Eddie Redcliffe'.

Season 1 followed several old incidents, hidden relationships, complex situations and more. Towards the end of it, the killer of the murders was revealed. The upcoming Season 2 will revolve around a new case at a new location. Reportedly, the cases will now happen in a fictional town called Barra Creek. According to a report by Screen Australia, the Season 2 will revolve around the murder of 'Eddie's' police partner, 'Bushy'.

What to expect from Deadloch Season 2?

After the successful run of Deadloch Season 1, viewers can expect the stakes to be higher. According to the trailer of the series, this time, the narrative will also involve a dead crocodile and multiple missing people. Apart from the complexity and crime drama, viewers can also expect humour from 'Eddie' and 'Dulcie'. For the unversed, the series is reportedly directed by Beck Cole and Gracie Otto.

When co-creator of Deadloch Season 2 opened up about the show

A few days ago, the co-creator of the much-loved show, Deadloch, Kate McCartney had a candid conversation, during which she revealed the significance of crocodiles in the upcoming season. The co-creator was quoted as saying:

"I always had a pretty firm regard for crocodiles. But once I got up there and I saw one, I was like, ‘This is gonna become my entire personality. It was too many croc tours. Having someone talk to you in those reflective sunglasses … they have this power, they’re part-entertainment, part-safety officer. The things that were coming out of their mouths, you know that they’ve said it 100 times on tours – it was just gold."
