Premiering in October 2024, it crossed one billion hours watched. Netflix said in December 2025 that Season 3 was the final installment, but later reversed it.
On July 23, 2026, it was renewed for a fourth season, with Perry saying the family's story isn't finished. Filming is scheduled between October 19 and October 30, 2026, in Atlanta and Chicago, eyeing a spring 2027 release.

Beauty in Black Season 4 will continue directly from where the third season concluded, which ended on a violent cliffhanger that left several major characters in danger. The finale left the fate of ‘Kimmie’s’ husband, ‘Horace,’ and his brother, ‘Norman,’ uncertain after both were shot.
In another key sequence, ‘Kimmie’ and ‘Mallory’ become trapped in a gunfight at Make It Rain, the strip club owned by ‘Kimmie's’ friend ‘Rain.’ While their survival remains unconfirmed, Crystle Stewart hinted on Instagram that the female leads are far from finished causing upheaval.
Netflix confirmed on July 23, 2026, that the show will return for a fourth season. Tyler Perry told Tudum that the Bellarie family's narrative was still incomplete and that he had more storylines he wanted to develop. He also expressed gratitude to viewers who supported the show from the beginning and assured them that new episodes were coming.
The streamer had earlier stated that Season 3 would be the final chapter ahead of its September 2026 premiere. Although the full cast for Season 4 has not been announced, both Taylor Polidore Williams and Crystle Stewart appeared in the promotional video for the new season. The only confirmed death in Season 3 was ‘Sylvie,’ who was killed by ‘Jules.’
What happened at the end of Beauty in Black Season 3?
Season 3 of Beauty in Black is built around the fallout of the Season 2 trap that put several Bellaries behind bars, and the finale deliberately leaves almost no one safe. The season opens with the FBI arresting 'Norman', 'Roy' and 'Olivia' after the plan orchestrated by 'Kimmie' and 'Mallory'. Money and influence quickly make jail a temporary problem.
The family fractures further as 'Horace' tries to use the arrests to consolidate power and cut 'Mallory' out of the company's shares. The central conflict converges on two shootouts.
First is the confrontation at 'Mallory's' home. 'Norman' escapes custody and seeks revenge on 'Mallory' for killing his wife, an event that has driven his arc since Season 1. He attacks her, but 'Mallory' fights back and shoots him. 'Kimmie' arrives, helps her, and convinces her to call 'Horace,' who sees an opportunity.
When 'Officer Alex' confirms 'Norman' still has a pulse, 'Horace' refuses medical help and leaves his brother bleeding. 'Norman' recovers enough to shoot 'Horace', and the brothers exchange fire. 'Horace's' security team, along with 'Angel', finds him and rushes him to the county hospital. 'Norman' is left behind at the house, badly wounded. The season does not confirm whether either brother dies.
The second and larger cliffhanger happens at Make It Rain, the club owned by 'Rain'. The attack is revealed to be orchestrated by 'Jules', the former head of Bellarie security. Working through Gina and her criminal network, 'Jules' has been pulling strings to avenge his son Glen's death. He walks into the club, declares his war on the Bellaries is now personal, and triggers embedded shooters. During the assault, both 'Kimmie' and 'Mallory' are gunned down.
'Rain,' 'Varney,' and others are also caught in the crossfire. Their fates are left unresolved. The only confirmed death of the season is 'Sylvie', who is killed by 'Jules' while he searches for answers about his son. With 'Charles' hitting rock bottom, 'Roy' hospitalized after an overdose, and 'Jules' now fully unleashed, the finale ends with the empire intact but its family in ruins.
